Hotels near Honjōchō- Fukae

I have stayed at this hotel many times on business trips 25 years ago. I was expecting the building and rooms to feel old and worn but I was pleasantly surprised to find a vibrant, busy and updated property giving great service and superb value. They have successfully recast this property as a destination with an authentic onsen using piped in water from nearby Mt Rokko which has proven very popular with Japanese families and visitors seeking a nice getaway with great onsen facilities in a western style hotel with rooms larger that you would find elsewhere. The vibe is pleasant and focuses on tranquility and rest. So happy to see that this property continues to thrive 25 years on. Stayed 2 nights, wish I had time to stay longer. Will definitely return!

Good use of space, clean, friendly staff, straight and easy walk to Imazu station

The property is decent and highly recommended if you want to relax and enjoy the view and ambiance of the ocean.

The mattress was good as were the amenities. Bathroom fixtures were high quality.

The property promised many things, like a VR room, a water slide, etc… but we couldn’t find any of these rooms. It felt close to a horror movie. Several posters with room numbers were plastered on the walls, but when we went to the rooms, they were (UNLOCKED) guest bedrooms. It was very confusing, especially for foreigners.

The room size is bigger than common room in Japan. Reasonable price. Staff is polite but cannot speak english well. They have service mind as they care what we want to say.

We requested a room that did not smell of smoke. While it did smell stale when we first got in, we could forget about it fairly quickly (and this coming from someone with a sensitive nose). Very clean with lots of amenities. Nice view from the bath.. I read about how some love hotels require you to call to leave the room, but that was not an issue here. Really, a great value for the price!

Free bicycle rental was great; we just did a short bike along the waterfront (whice has an art museum and a museum dedicated to the Hanshin Earthquake, which is an important piece of Kobe history), but it would have been fun to plan something a bit longer. The free shuttle to Sannomiya Station is convenient, just be sure to check the times and reserve your space. Breakfast was good, with lots of variety, both Japanese and Western. Free cold water/tea machine in the lobby next to the restaurant entrance. Although we didn't use it, the availability of self-laundry machines is a nice amenity. Room was clean and did not smell of smoke.

Convenient location near the JR Kobe Sannomiya station. The rooms are clean and well maintained. Very good breakfast, nice onsen. Variety of parking lots around the hotel.

The location is very peaceful, not too far from walking to the popular sport (I.e., Sannomiya Station) If you use airport limousine bus, the stop is very near the hotel.

Nice view conveniently located to station and central Kobe

The hotel is about 5 minutes away from the station so getting there was a breeze. Check-in and check-out were painlessly simple. The staff were so extremely friendly, even though I spoke almost 0 Japanese. The complimentary breakfast was well stocked and satisfying. I've read complaints about the room size and honestly as a solo traveller of 180cm, it was not an issue. The room was super comfortable and the washroom was adequate. Honestly the perfect place if you're planning to stay in and explore Kobe.

The room is spacious and the facility is good, large and comfortable bed. Car parking is free.

The location is great, with a very nice view! Quiet and have less people and traffic area so it is a perfect place for getting away from the city but yet not too far away from it.
