The guesthouse was so cute— a traditional Japanese style house with great kitchen amenities. The location itself is gorgeous— right in between the sea and the green hills. It’s a great location if you have a car or if it’s not too hot out. It’s very walkable and right across the street from a bus stop. But we were there in late July and it was the hottest place I’ve ever been. The heat there made the heat in Kyoto and Tokyo feel like nothing. So if you are coming in July or August, don’t plan to do much walking. There is a local taxi company that you can call, but apps like Didi and Go won’t work there. The nearest beach where you can swim is 10km away. The hosts were incredible. So friendly and helpful. Their English is limited but that didn’t stop them from being very communicative and helpful.

The automated check in is a nice initiative to modernize Okinawa’s hotel experience. Pineapple butter and croissant for breakfast was a sweet touch and delicious. Everything looks brand new and clean. The room is small but has all the essentials. It’s a perfect alternative for sweating in a tent in summer. And the location is awesome for exploring the village, kayaking in the river and the beach.

I recently stayed at this charming inn with my girlfriend, and it was truly unforgettable. Nestled in a serene mountain setting with sweeping ocean views, it felt like a hidden gem. Our room was not only cute and cozy but also came with a lovely deck where we enjoyed every moment—whether it was sipping morning coffee, savoring delicious meals, or watching the sun set over the horizon. Breakfast was absolutely delightful, and we were so glad we opted for the optional dinner—it was a culinary highlight, beautifully prepared with care and heart by our incredible host, Hisae-san. Her warmth and hospitality made us feel instantly at home, and by the time we left, we considered her a dear friend. This inn is a perfect blend of comfort, beauty, and genuine hospitality. We loved the mountain view, how beautiful and clean the home was, the amenities and entertainment provided, and the atmosphere of the location of the home. Our host made sure we got to the right place and that our stay would be more than comfortable. My family loved it, and we definitely recommend this stay to anyone looking to relax or have a great experience with those close to you.
