This was by far our favorite hotel in Japan. On top of the very reasonable price compared to other accommodations in the country, we chose it for its proximity to Narita Airport on our last day. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, and the staff was incredibly friendly. The hotel lobby is huge, with plenty of relaxing areas and even a 7-Eleven store right inside. We also had free access to a nearby onsen just two minutes away, which included an entertainment area. One of the highlights was the free airport shuttle at various times — we simply chose our preferred time and reached the airport in 20 minutes, completely free and directly from the hotel entrance. We were very impressed and grateful for everything. Highly recommended for anyone looking for comfort, convenience, and great service near Narita Airport.

Our stay was perfect! Mieko-san and her husband were incredibly kind and welcoming. Mieko-san even hosted a small workshop where we made souvenirs together and she let me try on some of her beautiful kimonos. They were eager to share their knowledge of Japanese culture, especially unique aspects of life in Tako-machi. The ryokan itself is cozy and makes you feel at home. It was clean, comfortable, and full of character. We would come back to this ryokan for the owners alone, but the town also has its charm - letting us experience authentic japanese everyday life on the country side. Our stay in Tako-machi and Masugataya Ryokan was truly unforgettable<3

I really loved (not just liked) the harmonious architecture, the quiet environment, the beautiful interior design. Impeccably clean and well organised. I was also extremely touched by the friendliness and generosity of the host. Also his love and respect towards animals. Such a wonderful person. I only wished i could've stayed longer.

We had an amazing stay at Waqoo Naritasan Monzen on our last night in Japan. The atmosphere in the hotel is very authentic. The rooms are clean. The beds are very comfortable. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The hotel has very nice and relaxing bath area. The hotel is located in the middle of the Narita old town, which is great for exploring the area, nearby shrine and park. We had both dinner and breakfast at the hotel. Both are served as traditional Japanese meals. The food was delicious and added to the authentic experience staying at the hotel.
