the spa was amazing, the family room is spacious enough for family of 5 with kids, it was clean and the location also great only 500 m to Nagasaka gondola and 600 m to downtown. we had amazing stay.

Although, the room’s private onsen can only accommodate one person, it was incredible to have that to yourself after a long day on the slopes. The hotel design has a nostalgic 80s feel to it.

The location was ideal as it was just a minute away from both rentals and the gondola. The beds were comfortable and the breakfast was delicious every morning. The staff was also very friendly and accommodating any time we needed anything. We will return there when we visit Nozawa Onsen next time.

Everything about this place suited me perfectly! The location, the amazing room, the hospitality, the cafe-style included breakfast & the fantastic sushi restaurant in the same building. The sushi was so good I ate there both nights of my stay. Looking forward to returning in winter sometime.

Nozawa Onsen is a great place to visit if you'd like a more authentic Japanese feel. We came to ski, and it was toward the end of the season, so I would advise to visit a little earlier for better powder days as it was a bit mash potatoes like at the base area. Many superb dining options at the ski resort which we appreciated. Loved the shops, restaurants, and cafes. Definitely experience the onsens - we wish we had more time to visit all of them. The sound of running water all around is also very relaxing and zen like.

Good variety of food options, onsens were a great cultural experience… be aware they’re 🥵 hot. The snow resort was easy to get around with good runs. Traditional village plenty of non snow related activities to keep non boarders busy.

Great vibrant little town, very pretty at night.

Great vibrant little town, very pretty at night. Good medical facilities X-ray, chiropractor in village, which we required. Lots of eateries, but pays to book as it can become crowded. Skiing was great in all locations.

Nozawa Onsen Ski resort was a great place to Ski and Ride for our family for 5 days. Great town with lots of restaurants but make sure to book ahead if you have a group of people as most restaurants have very small seating capacity. Easy access to Nozawa from Tokyo on the Shinkansen and bus or taxi

The whole experience, the place we stayed, the snow, the runs, awesome. Except to get a wax and edging was a three-day turnaround. You guys should offer that service; you would clean up (make money).

Love Nozawa Onsen as it continues to offer a traditional...

Love Nozawa Onsen as it continues to offer a traditional village experience. Hopefully the Nozawa community will limit number of overseas visitors at any one time, as to preserve the village atmosphere and keep the ski slopes from being too busy. (I'm an Aussie so this includes me too!) Enjoyed visiting the Ski Museum, last year the Ceramics Museum and Stamping activity around the village. Love the Bao buns as you walk down Yu Road and the variety of traditional and non traditional places you can go to eat and drink. Nozawa Onsen is a walking village, one has to be abled. The heated roads are a bonus when walking i.e. no snow on road and safety.

Good location in between the Nozawa Onsen main street, ski resort centre as well as the two popular public onsen bath places. Good car parking space (as rare resource in that area). The whole place is recently rennovated and good maintained. Neat, tidy and clean. Facilities are in good shape and condition. The staff/owner are very friendly and helpful. The cleaniness of shared bathroom and toilet were a positive surprise to me.

Fabulous Japanese hotel experience with lovely hosts, fantastic Japanese breakfast with Western food options, less than a hundred meters from the free shuttle bus to the slopes. Alternatively you can walk 250m to reach the nearest chairlift. Lovely onsen in the hotel and a heated ski room to dry your gear. Try the delicious home made kaiseki dinner! We'll certainly be back.

Great location. Only a minute or so walk to the main street. It's a 10 or so minute uphill walk to the gondola base, but at least there are ski lockers there to make this easier. It's very traditional and the rooms are warm and comfortable. The photos here and on the website are not great and as other people have said it is much nicer in real life. It's good value for money.
