I liked how affordable it was for such a large room with its own shower room, bathroom, toilet room, & multiple closets.

Everything was good. Nice room with sensible amenities. Good breakfast. Efficient, helpful staff. There’s a supermarket around the corner - very convenient. I would like to stay here again when I return to Otsu.

Location was awesome - close to trains, shopping, convenient to sightseeing. Staff were very helpful. Breakfast was plentiful (though a bit more variety from day to day would be better). Would stay here again for my visit to Kyoto.

New, modern, and bright. Very clean. Hospitality staff was onmnipresent and took care of the room every time we left. Beautiful flowers in the suite. Fantastic views. Tastefully decorated, a lot of small, fine details. The concierge was top! Knowledgeable and fast. We're planning to be back after our Tokyo visit.

This is the best hotel we have stayed in. It has exceeded our expectations from the moment we walked in. The hotel is so beautiful, featuring a very modern architectural design with many traditional Japanese elements. The garden is absolutely stunning, and it was a perfect time to see the fall colors on the maple trees. The bar that overlooks the garden offers free drinks, which is my favorite spot to admire the beautiful view. The staff of the hotel were very polite and helpful to make our stay relaxed and comfortable. We booked the all-inclusive Riverview room, which was very clean and spacious, comes with a living room and a huge bathroom, and the bed and pillows are super comfortable. For meals, our package comes with breakfast and dinner, which I highly recommend because there are no eateries near the hotel. And their food was prepared with high standards, and it was the best hotel-inclusive meals we ever had. Our stay at Moksa was amazing and I would love to come back again.

Although it was built in the 1990s, this hotel is actually really value-for-money. Good for a short getaway.
