This was a fantastic place to stay while walking the Shikoku 88. We enjoyed the historic building and we were in walking distance to convenience stores and restaurants. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with a nice seating area in addition to the tatami floor with futon beds.

This place is a rare gem! We stayed for only 3 nights, but we wished we could have stayed longer! Naoko is the warmest and most accommodating host! We loved her home, it was super comfortable and her food is amazing! Breakfast is included, both Japanese and Western breakfasts were delicious, and her dinners too! Every dish was a delight! Naoko really went above and beyond for us, and even made us bento box lunches to take with us. Our 6 year old son, had the best time! He became bestfriends with Naoko’s dog, Taro. They went for walks, played, fished for tadpoles and frogs together. We also became very acquainted with her chickens and rooster. This place is perfect for kids to run free and have fun! To get there, it’s best to rent a car. Kochi is so beautiful and worth a visit. For us, 3 nights wasn’t enough. We hope to have the chance to see Naoko, Taro and the chickens again!
