Breakfast was spot on. Location was pretty decent. A little far removed from restaurants/shopping and such, but that is kinda what I wanted so was very good for my needs. I answered no regarding the question above "Did the price I paid match the expectations I had when I booked". I answered no because the facility far exceeded my expectation. From the moment I arrived, Beba upgraded my room which was grest as the ocean view was fabulous. The room is spotless clean. Very elegantly decorated. Staff were very helpful. The villa is gorgeous. A few meters away from the beach. The private beach made my stay fantastic and ensured privacy. The pool was just the right spot to disconnect from the world. Breakfast was delicious and portions were huge. India and Gold ( the dogs 🐕) were definitely a huge plus. I loved their presence and played with them. The entire experience was very unique, authentic and relaxing 😌 I highly recommend it 👌 as a solo traveler, this felt do safe. Thank you Beba for taking care of things and understanding.

It's not a very busy area, but there are a couple of restaurants and some activities you can do. The water is amazing and so are the sunsets! It's perfect for a romantic getaway or with a small intimate group pf friends, if you're looking for wild parties this would not be my top pick not unless it's high season

Watamu is such an incredible place to visit!

Watamu is such an incredible place to visit! I've never seen such a beautiful place! It is one of those places that really makes you understand how magical this world is! Garoda Beach - great at low tide for exploring the reef and lounging on the beach Jacaranda Beach - visit the beautiful Sardegna Due for a swimming pool in the middle of the ocean! Enjoy the crystal clear water and spot some star fish! Mida Creek - explore on paddleboards, take a boat ride to see the flamingos, take a stroll on the boardwalk Safari Blue - take a boat ride of a lifetime to spot the dolphins Get a few numbers for tuktuk and boda drivers and you can get anywhere easily! They'll even show you the hidden spots! Ask for some local restaurants to enjoy the ugali, beef, chapatis etc - so delicious

It feels like a constant scam.

It feels like a constant scam. If you're not there to spend big money, locals wouldn't be interested in you. It's like a little "fake" village. I didn't feel welcome at all, I didn't experience a good "week in Kenya" the only conversations or interactions I enjoyed were with some Italian owners of restaurants... Locals are not at all interested in you if you're not going to buy something from them immediately. I would never come back.

A wonderful hotel which has a great vibe. You will also meet Kenyans as guests there. It is not faceless, that distinguishes it from other hotels in Watamu. Great employees. Good value for the price. Tap water is somehow salty, but considering all the great other good things, we could accept that easily. We will come back, thanks to Lily Palm!

Everything, beautiful quiet Oasis in city. Great location to Blue lagoon, Watamu beach, Love beach. Beautiful apartment for reasonable cost. Stayed 4 nights. Good air-conditioning also! Although we mostly used ceiling fans as it was early October and the town on our end of the street shuts down around 8 pm.
