Loved the location! It was absolutely beautiful and the setting was so peaceful. There was a lot of wildlife from monkeys to birds to goats and pigs which all added to the charm. The breakfast was really good and the room was very clean. The plantation house was lovingly restored and very special.

It was very spacious. The entire property is spacious. Lovely garden also. Fridge with water and homemade mango juice was provided. Tea coffee mangoes and starfruit. It's a quiet area with friendly people. It's a 10-minute walk from yatchsman Grill Beach. My host gave great directions to get there. To get there, my driver had to call my host several times. She was patient and gracious. She waited outside to meet me. My family arrived the next day. My host was happy to meet my family. Offered assistance in any way we needed it. My family and I left at different times. We each received a farewell package of mangoes from the garden. I would recommend cotton heights to anyone going to Nevis.

We loved everything about Montpelier. The care they take of everyone. The owner Muffin made us feel like we were part of the family! The staff at reception are wonderful and helpful. The servers Leslie and everyone were friendly and accommodating. We stayed in the plantation room overlooking the ocean. Large. Comfortable lovely Great breakfast included daily. Tea and scones every afternoon - loved it. Hated to leave. Thanks everyone!

Our favorite hotel of the 5 we stayed at during our trip to St Kitts and Nevis. Very comfortable room and we saw two sea turtles while swimming at the beach. Front desk found us a great driver to take us around the island as well.

A great hideaway. Subtle but delivers on so many fronts.

A great hideaway. Subtle but delivers on so many fronts. A fascinating history and truly authentic Caribbean setting. All restaurants delivered delicious food, yummy drinks and a warm welcome. There was a little bit of liquid sunshine, but not too much - enough to help keep us cool while soaking up sunshine. We even attended the drag racing - highly recommend!

Nevis is a quieter more laid back sister to the hustle and bustle of st. Kitts. The people are super friendly and helpful . The bus system is easy to use to get around. Pinney Beach is beautiful and walking distance from Charleston. We saw turtles and starfish a short distance from shore. We are so pleased we caught the ferry to this pretty, peaceful and personable island. We wished we'd stayed longer than 2 nights.

I once read an article which was titled How to "Make the most of Your Caribbean Vacation". The number one rule was to make sure and leave your all inclusive resort and go out and see the local culture. It's hard for me to imagine even going to an all inclusive resort, let alone staying in one and never leaving it . Nevis doesn't have any all inclusive resorts, It doesn't have any cruise ships, It doesn't have a traffic signal, There are no chain restaurants, And the biggest danger that you face driving is bumping into a donkey or a goat that happened to be walking in the road. If you're the type of person that needs to be encouraged to leave your all inclusive resort, Nevis is not for you. At an airport bar on the way home we met another couple who had stayed at an all inclusive resort on a different island. They were lamenting that they had paid $8000 for the week, And that their island experience seemed similar to inclusive resort in Florida. Nevis is local. The color is local.

Nevis is one of the least visited islands in the Caribbean.

Nevis is one of the least visited islands in the Caribbean. Most people have never heard of it. The cruise ships don't stop here. There is only one major hotel property on the island, and the people who stay at that property never seem to venture out and see the local sites. Everything else is local. The bars, the restaurants,, the hotels the beaches Are all independent and unique. It takes a couple of extra steps to get here. There are no direct flights, And the major International Airport is on another island and when you get there you still have to take a taxi to water ferry and then a ferry across de Nevis. Every travel video that you see on You Tube is always promising to take you to the off the grid locations where you get a unique vacation experience. Nevis is all that and more!

Nevis Island is not as rich or crowded as its non-attached island co-country, St. Kitts, so plane flight schedules tend to be flexible out of Nevis and usually stop-over in St. Kitts with transfer to a different airline there--no matter what the on-line ticket might still say. Sometimes airline tickets are hard to obtain into and out of St. Kitts, so the only ticket available might be to or through Nevis, which was my original situation. It is important to know about the daytime water taxi from Nevis to St. Kitts and back and how to get a taxi at each end so you can hook-up with outgoing flights. Nevis does have some good places to stay.

Nevis is a very enjoyable and has very good local food. I had breakfast there at Stella's Kitchen Restaurant very good. Nevis has developed tremendously. I visited Four Seasons Resort very classy. I brought my vehicle over from St. Kitts so I drove around a lot.
