We stayed in Mathila Hotel for 2 nights to explore Anuradhapura. The room was spacious with a nice balcony, the bed was large and comfortable and the bathroom was spacious and practical. The staff are amazing, the whole team is very attentive, respectful and do everything they can to support your stay to be the best. Special thanks to the kitchen team, who put on an amazing buffet for breakfast and dinner, the food is diverse and flavourful, there are plenty of options, and they cater to your taste profile. If there is something that you don't like they will bring you an alternative without hesitation! They fulfilled my special requests, washed my clothes for a small charge, and arranged transport to our next destination. The location is tucked in a small unpaved side street, therefore it was a little difficult to find at first but it is a good location as it is quiet since it does not face the main road traffic. The location is only 5 minutes away from the ancient city of Anuradhapura so it was the perfect place for us to get picked up by our tour guide.

This is the second time we stayed in this hotel I very pleased to say,it's has got better in many ways.provided a great service.great buffet for breakfast,clean rooms&bathrooms and a very friendly and attentive staff. Swimming pool of this hotel a pure delight come day or night.would definitely recommend this hotel for families, groups and couples a like great hotel.

Beautiful location. Service and food was top notch

We stayed at Arachchi Heritage in the second week of July. The taxi from the airport was well arranged and got to our destination easily. The villa is very quiet against the lake. In the evening, you have a nice view over the water from the roof terrace and can see the illuminated stupas. The whole stay was perfect. The rooms were clean and well-equipped, a nice bathroom where you can also shower traditionally outside, there were no qualifiers. The traditional dinner is definitely recommended. The stay works with a regular tuktuk driver. We discovered Anuradhapura with a guide arranged by the hotel as wall. Prices were good and they also made you feel very safe. The staff of Arachchi Heritage was also very helpful and friendly. We would also like to specially thank the owners for the warm welcome to Sri Lanka, all the useful information and nice conversations about the local culture and customs. It was a real pleasure to get to know them and we hope to see you again in Belgium (or who knows, back in Sri Lanka).

Honestly the nicest room we have stayed in during our 25 days in Sri Lanka! The breakfast was great! The dinner as well. Great restaurant with even greater staff. Everybody was so attentive, kind and comforting. The service was excellent. The pool was a delight after a day under the scorching sun.
