Our host was so lovely and accommodating! Food was fantastic, and the cabin was super cute. We have a lot of dietary restrictions, but the host made us the most delicious spreads for breakfast and dinner. Even tried to get fresh fish for us from the market! Would have loved to stay longer!

Family run guesthouse. Great folks. My friend wasn't feeling well and had purchased the wrong medicine at the local pharmacy. The proprietor drove me back into town to receive the proper medicine. This was unexpected and very kind.

The entire property was beautiful - including the living area, the infinity pool with a stunning view, the room we stayed in - all of it was exceptional. The entire staff was very hospitable, especially Welles who really took care of us, and anticipated our needs and was truly such a joy to be around. We also did a cooking class with Chef Roshan and had so much fun - not only did we learn how to make delicious curries but also had an enjoyable experience. In addition, we had a tasting menu curated by Chef Isuru, which was hands down the best meal we had during our time in Sri Lanka. Overall, Kasun and the entire team went above and beyond to make our stay truly unforgettable.

The wife’s favourite stay in Sri Lanka, heavenly views high up and at one with nature. Nice vibe around the area at night. Staff were great and the breakfast location was stunning and you can see the train high in the hillside opposite.

Our stay at Mistara Ella in Ella, Sri Lanka was truly exceptional. It was a brand new hotel and the views are absolutely breathtaking and the pool is the perfect place to relax while enjoying the beautiful surroundings. The property has a very peaceful and special atmosphere that makes it hard to leave. What made the stay even more memorable was the amazing staff. Everyone was incredibly kind, attentive, and welcoming throughout our visit. A special thank you to the owner, Mr. Tharaka, whose hospitality and friendliness made us feel right at home. If you are visiting Ella, I highly recommend staying at Mistara Ella. It was a wonderful experience and we would definitely love to come back.

We had the opportunity to stay at Ever Breeze Ella for one night in Jan 2025. After a long train ride and exploring Ella, we were greeted with smiles by the hotel owner and sons. They promptly brought our bags to the rooms, which are accessible by stairs only, so it was a great help. We were offered a choice of welcome drinks also. We had booked 3 rooms which were all clean and spacious. Amenities and essentials such as soap, towels and water bottles were also provided in the room. The view from the rooms were amazing! Breakfast was included in our package and we enjoyed it a lot. One of the sons is the chef and did an amazing job. Bread, pancake roll with bananas and syrup, omelette as we liked, fruits, juice, tea and coffee were offered and every plate was empty by the end. I would highly recommend Ever Breeze Ella and will stay again without hesitation. Thank you Ever Breeze Ella!!

All the people who are working at this place are very polite and kind. The rooms are clean and comfortable. They also have a convenient lobby and a big balcony. They served a hearty breakfast and helped us in the organization of a city tour.

Location is very fantastic. Staff is very friendly. Room is beautiful and clean with large windows to the jungle.

Stayed here for two nights and really enjoyed it. It’s a small property — only 11 rooms — and sits a little away from the busy Ella town, which honestly makes it a better choice if you want some peace after a day of hiking. The place is quite new, opened only in January 2026, but you wouldn’t feel anything lacking. The rooftop view is stunning, especially in the morning and evening. Breakfast on the second day was a highlight — proper Sri Lankan spread with string hoppers, egg hoppers and more. Delicious. The pool is a great way to unwind after the Ella hikes, and the staff were attentive throughout. Mr. Surang and Mr. Saman in particular stood out — always around, always helpful, never had to ask twice. Overall a good experience - especially staff.

Clean and very friendly hosts.

The location was nice. The 3-arch bridge is right beside the hotel. The views from the balcony are beautiful. The staff are also really, really helpful. Helped us organize our itinerary at the place and arranged transportation for reasonable prices.

Manosh, the manager and the staff will make you feel very comfortable. Their attention and service is one of the best I’ve ever experienced during my travels. The food is delicious too! I highly recommend you to stay here, by far the best place around Ella. The property is located in a very peaceful mountain, just 5 mins Tuk tuk drive from Ella town. Everything was clean and cosy. The architecture is modern and open. There is warm water and a supreme view from the restaurant. Is perfect for digital nomads, because you can work while watching an spectacular view.
