We had a very wel coming stay. Our host is a friendly smart and helping guy who knows his profession. We had a nice clean room with view of the sea. Good English and very helpful without being pushy. We were happy to stay just out of the center and we could rent a scooter 20 meters further for a good price too. Will come again.

1. Hotel is fresh and new and of really a good quality. Nothing experienced heavy usage like in Riff - the only real 5* competitor on Hikka beach 2. I got Deluxe suite with Seaview for the price of a regular room cos the hotel just started to work and had not much of guests. 3. Room has excellent sleeping conditions which is rare on Shri: blind curtains & you can sleep with ac on without a risk to catch cold. Priceless.

Hikkaduwa is a beautiful coastal destination known for its golden sandy beaches, crystal-clear waters, and stunning views of both Hikkaduwa Beach and Turtle Beach. During the main tourist season, the sea is calm and perfect for swimming, snorkeling, and enjoying the vibrant marine life, including the famous sea turtles that come close to the shore. Nice coastal town with lots of restaurants, beach bars and shops. Ideal for a 2-3 day stop along the Sri Lankan coast. Lots of surfing available. The main road runs the length of the town which is easy to walk along as well as get a tuk tuk for longer journeys. Really enjoyed the food at Salty Swami's, great for coffee and brunch. Also enjoyed sitting on the beach at Funky de Bar in the evening as it is directly on the water, good value drinks and food with excellent view! I was also easily able to travel 5km to the Tsunami Museum and memorial which was an incredibly interesting place to visit.

The beach is 4 or 5 km long and very wide in most places.

The beach is 4 or 5 km long and very wide in most places. The golden sand is pristine and the sea is clean, with rollers for surfing and close to shore is ideal for families. There are plenty of beachfront hotels, restaurants and bars with sunbeds and parasols. Watching the surfers at sunset from any of them is a must do.

The kindest host and hostess represented the best of Sri Lanka! Even the simple yet filling breakfast was exquisite because of the professional chef background of our host Aruna. A lovely place with fun things to do nearby besides the beautiful beaches.

Unfortunately, our stay at Hikka Tranz by Cinnamon didn’t live up to expectations. The hotel felt extremely dated and in need of a serious refresh. From the moment we arrived, the overall vibe felt more like a package holiday in Benidorm than a relaxing escape in Sri Lanka. While the location right on the beach is great and the staff were friendly enough, the atmosphere, decor, and facilities just didn’t match the tropical, tranquil experience we were hoping for. It’s not somewhere we’d choose to stay again.

Kasun was a fantastic host, very accommodating to my late check-in and helped me find my way to the villa (my GPS wasn’t working). The rooms were incredibly clean with AC, a ceiling fan and a kitchenette, and the views from the balcony are beautiful. It’s also one of the cleanest places I’ve stayed in Sri Lanka! Considering it’s proximity to the main strip in Hikkaduwa, the hotel is a very reasonable price and would stay there again - thank you Kasun :)

One of the best Boutique resorts we enjoyed in Sri Lanka. It is an 8 rooms resort. but we love their hospitality, personal care, Sri Lanka tasty food. Crab curry was amazing. We love their Cement look finish all around the hotel with Rustic joinery and antique items. Room is spacious with all the facilities; bathroom is bit small. Overall, we got more than Value for money for our stay.

Had an amazing stay at Sapphire Sea Beachfront Hotel Hikkaduwa ! Beautiful beachfront location and wonderful service from start to finish. Huge thanks to the whole staff for their warmth and hospitality, and a special shoutout to the manager, Mr. Chamith, who went above and beyond to make our stay truly memorable. Highly recommend!

Great all round 3 star accommodation. Edgar, was always very attentive and helpful. He upgraded us from a street view to beach view room as the hotel wasn't busy. His assistant Simam was also very attentive and helpful. Lovely staff. The location was further away from Hikkaduwa, but meant that it was nice and quiet.
