The staff were wonderful and made sure we could make it out to our tours for sightseeing even though it was very early. Everyone was very kind. The rooms were clean and tidy.

My stay at Villa Gady initially was for one night however I extended my stay for a second night because this is an incredible place. You are welcomed by Melik, the owner, who is authentically kind. My room had it's own private beautiful pool overlooking the jungle, the sky was full of birds, monkeys were in the trees and the room itself was spacious, sparkling clean, the most comfortable bed, fast wifi, a flat screen tv to watch english programs, beautiful shower and in room tea. There is a shared well equipped kitchen (blender for smoothies) and another huge pool. I seriously could have stayed there a month or two. In fact, I plan to return. And if you want the best massage in Sri Lanka Melik is the person. Book this place and stay as long as you can.

The food (a truly delectable brunch with locally sourced ingredients), the location (peaceful, surrounded by nature and greenery), the architecture (tasteful Béton brut with Tropical Modernism) and Anne’s hospitality!

Family run hotel with exceptional one to one caring service and big size rooms decorated with a fine taste of exotic style. Breakfast comes with abundance of fresh, healthy and tasty. It’s so fun to sit in the terrace and watch chipmunks and peacocks wandering around in the big beautiful garden.

Loved my stay here. Good vibe in rooms, comfortable bed, absolutely loved the Aqua deluxe room which had an amazing sea view. We were upgraded free of charge to a nicer room which we really appreciate on behalf. Tasty English breakfast in a lovely restaurant. Friendly and professional service provided by the staff. Definitely will be back again !!!

As someone who loves design, I was blown away by BlackRoots. The way the hotel is built on elevated structures to let nature flow underneath is so thoughtful. The rooms are gorgeous, huge floor to ceiling glass windows, high ceilings, and beautiful materials that feel both rustic and incredibly luxurious. The infinity pool overlooking the mangroves was our favorite spot to unwind.

I had a wonderful time here. The food is super fresh and tasty, the staff are incredibly knowledgeable about Sri Lanka and are happy to share it with you. The views over the paddy fields are breathtaking and I loved the peaceful atmosphere of it all, and still you're just a tuktuk drive away from the next beach and the city of Galle. Thank you, I hope to be back another time!

Beautiful property with a peaceful and fresh vibe. Clean rooms, a spotless pool, and truly great hospitality. The caretaker welcomed us with a warm smile which made us feel at home instantly. The location is perfect with easy access to both Unawatuna and Jungle Beach. Highly recommended.

A great and peaceful place to stay. The room is clean, spacious, and equipped with AC, a fan, and a fridge. The bed is very comfortable, and the bathroom is large with hot water (if needed) and strong water pressure. The location is excellent—just a few minutes from the main road and city center, with easy access to buses to Galle. The owner is very kind and helpful. Highly recommended!

This hotel is an absolute gem! The view is simply breathtaking—you can enjoy the ocean right from your room and even fall asleep to the soothing sound of the waves. The hotel itself is very modern, with everything brand new, making for a comfortable and stylish stay. The staff is incredibly polite and attentive, making us feel welcome from the start. We originally planned to stay for two nights but ended up extending to five because we loved it so much. Plus, it’s conveniently located near Dewata Beach, a great spot for beginner surfers. Highly recommend!

We had a very nice stay. The propery is unique and picturesque. The host was very helpful and arranged a perfect vegetarian breakfast for us. Must book when in unawatuna.
