It’s very nice stuff and clean

The staff were welcoming, accommodating, and very nice! The facilities were clean, and the location was quiet and safe even on New Year’s Eve. We were able to walk to the beach and local restaurants for food.

The beach behind the hotel was excellent for lounging and taking a dip. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. The staff made sure that we enjoyed the stay. The kitchen was very well equipped.

My partner and I spent four incredible days at Galawatta Beach Resort. The staff (Deepika, Keerthi and Shalin) were amazing. Our beach cabana was spacious, comfortable and literally steps from the water. Waking up to waves at our doorstep, swimming with turtles every morning, and having breakfast and dinner on our private balcony was unforgettable. The reef makes the beach incredibly safe. Absolutely magical – highly recommend for anyone visiting Sri Lanka.

The resort was conveniently located near Galle Road, making it very easily accessible. The food was good, and the overall dining experience was enjoyable. One of the main highlights of the stay was its close proximity to Turtle Beach, which was only about 100m walk away. This gave us the wonderful opportunity to watch and even feed the turtles. The room was spacious, comfortable, and well maintained. It was also very clean, which made our stay even more pleasant. Overall, we had a very enjoyable experience at the resort.

The staff was very friendly, room was clean and spacious! the view was beautiful and nearby beach had turtles we had the pleasure to meet. Food option was good. Tharusha was very helpful and courteous. The beach near the hotel is not suitable for swimming, a few meters to the left you can find turtles and on the right 15 mins walk later you can find a nice pleasant beach to swim and there's a restuarant which has a tree swing as well which was fun!

We stayed at Owl and the Pussycat Hotel for our honeymoon and my husband’s birthday, and it was such a wonderful experience. I wanted a quiet and beautiful place, and this hotel was exactly that. The whole property feels artistic and unique, and the rooms are so spacious. They even upgraded us to a gorgeous room with a balcony which made our stay feel even more special. The staff were some of the friendliest and most helpful people we have met. On my husband’s birthday morning they surprised us with a cake and gathered together to sing for him. It was such a heartfelt and beautiful moment that we will always remember. The location is also perfect with a few good places to eat nearby and turtles right in front of the beach. Everything about our stay felt warm and personal. We left with so many lovely memories and would love to return again. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a truly special getaway.

I cannot recommend this place enough. It’s a five minute tuk tuk ride into Unawatuna bazaar if you want to visit the shops, restaurants there but yet not as touristy. The beach infront of the htoel is lovely, and you can walk 5 mins either way to see Frog rock, or Turtle beach. The hotel was clean and the food was great. The manager – Rumesh – was very kind and attentive. He helped us with every single request and made suggestions for where we could go for food or shopping etc. We noticed repeat guests that have stayed here multiple times
