Nice owner. Quit place, comfy beds, we slept well. Good and rich breakfast. The pool is clean and nice.

Clean. Helpful friendly staff. Rooms and bathrooms were nice. Breakfast was very good. The Western breakfast was full English.

Beautiful hidden Place along the River . Quiet , comfortable set up to relax and enjoy . Nicely put together spacy rooms. Little swimming pool makes nice ambiente. Water sport activities offered . Friendly professional staff .

Excellent Stay – Great Support from Nayanajith I had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The facilities were clean and comfortable, and the location was convenient. I especially want to thank Nayanagith, who was extremely helpful and friendly throughout my stay. He went out of his way to assist me with everything I needed, which made my experience even better. This is a lovely hotel with very helpful and friendly staff. Lankan Breakfast is delicious and as the hotel is close to the Negombo city it is quiet and relaxing. Special thanks to Nilan for his help and advice about the morning visit to Fish Market Our stay at the Emel Hotel was great! We enjoyed the friendliness of the all the staff, very comfortable room, and you can walk to many restaurants including fast food. The comfortable seating. We will look forward to returning again one day! Best for me was The Fortress near Galle. So stunning, I expected to see film stars and royalty! Food was delicious, room was amazing, grounds and beach were beautiful. Big bed, beautiful pool, outdoor seating and excellence service. Emel was our favorite hotel during our entire two week visit to Sri Lanka. From the moment my two adult daughters, Erik and I arrived, we fell in love with the staff and the relaxed, chill vibe.

Beautiful setting, comfy and delightful

My family and I stayed there for a short period before our flight. The staff were friendly, warmly welcoming, and very helpful. They provided us with everything we needed during our stay. The location is excellent, right in front of the ocean and just a few steps from the beach. There are local shops and restaurants nearby. My children enjoyed swimming in the pool, and the room was equipped with air conditioning.

I stayed here 4 days after very long flights from the US to recover my sleep. Riverrina is a very quiet and peaceful place to relax. The swimming pool is large, clean and refreshing. There is lots of wildlife on the grounds--such a delight to wake up to the many birds singing. (Listen for the kookaburra!) Ask to look at the Dutch canal and the tree with bees! The staff is exceptional--they always appeared as soon as I came downstairs to see if I need anything. I loved the Sri Lankan breakfast that changes a bit everyday. There are many choices on the buffet. Everything is spotless and well-cared for. Although it is a bit far from the airport, I vote it a perfect place to recuperate from a long flight before experiencing this wonderful country.

So Ayubo Villa is not where we stayed. Since the place's water heater spoiled, we were given the option to stay at another villa, which is Sirena Villa Holiday Lodge. So my comments are all for Sirena Villa instead of Ayubo Villa. However the host at Ayubo Villa is a friend of Sanjee, the host of Sirena Villa. I like that we had a safe place to stay and Sanjee was good to offer us some fruits.
