Amazing food great location for national park safari

Amazing stuff. the pool was great, wonder views-360.

The facilitate is very good and the staff are very friendly.

The staff were all wonderfully friendly and helpful with a special shout out to Sihina and Dinusha. The pool is a good size and there was plenty ty of shade and sun loungers. Food was excellent quality. Ratna the manager organized a fabulous Christmas Eve party with masses of fireworks. He organized safaris for us to Yala and to Bundala which we thoroughly enjoyed. Would stay here again. Don't miss the dusk spectacle of flying fruit bats on the opposite side of the lake.

We stayed two nights and went on a full day safari with the host Janaka. Our room was comfortable and it was so convenient to do the safari with them! The family was really friendly and we enjoyed the meals we ate there.

Clean and very spacious rooms. Stunning view towards the rice paddies and lake. Lovely pool to refresh and relax. The host family could not be more welcoming, they went out of their way to make us feel at home. Dinner and breakfast were very, very delicious!! We would have loved to stay much longer. Thank you everyone for being so kind to us, we'll come back some day. Also you can back your Safari here. The host Janaka organizes the trips himself and has the best drivers. We saw 2 Leopards with his diver Damith and were very happy with how he guided us through the Safari!

Awesome location with relaxing atmosphere

It’s a beautiful place though smaller than one would imagine looking at the photos. But our stay was comfortable. The staff was very accommodating and gave us excellent support and service.

One of the hidden gems of Sri Lanka! This beautiful hotel is set around a serene lake, with stunning views from the room overlooking water lilies, palm trees, and grazing buffalo. The rooms are stylishly decorated, spacious, and impeccably clean. The breakfast is fantastic, with something for everyone. Madu, the manager, is incredibly approachable and goes above and beyond to make everything possible. A truly amazing stay!

Overall impression after one-night stay 1. Exceptional hospitality from the host. The welcome drink 'fresh mango juice' was a surprise for us. It definitely refreshed us after a long way to the villa. Moreover, due to heavy rain the day before all the road to the villa was destroyed and the host picked us up without any problem and delivered right to the entrance. 2. You can order food right at the villa's cafe. The menu is a variety (from fried rice to pasta) 3. The host organized the jeep safari to Yala and the car surprised us with a modern interior(everything from the seat to the roof was covered with high quality material (leather I suppose),tidenes and skilled driver. 4. The host also took care of our breakfast. Each of our containers had : 2 boiled eggs, sandwich with jam, bananas, pineapple, piece of chocolate cake and 0,2l juice. Additionally, we found 6 bananas and lemon cookies as shared sweets :) 5. The rooms themselves are clean. No ants or other animals were found. 6. Air conditioning is also presented in the room. Summarize, the hotel is 100% worth its price.

Amazing hospitality, great local tour in the village from Randy (the owner) , facilitated the safari trip for us and a car to drive us to our next destination, whenever we want anything Randy is always responsive and there to help literally in anything, and the room was so clean and cozy, would definitely come again.. highly recommended!

Great property, all good with the rooms, the view outside. Helpful staff and very courteous. The weather was great .

Once you climbed up to the 3rd floor, the view out the back of the rice paddies and the lake was peaceful. Maduwa was extremely helpful. The AC in our room worked. The WiFi worked well in our room, but didn’t quite reach out to our balcony.

All staff exceptional -welcoming, polite, very attentive so pleasant to deal with and so helpful. Manager Charma went out of his way to help with laundry services, safari bookings, tourist info for Tissa, and arranging taxi for my onward travel. The staff member who gave me some very interesting history stories was a bonus. Chef made great meals, and wait staff so attentive. Swimming pool as very pleasant. Locale - very good- down quiet lane a few minutes from town centre.

Mahanama, Sahani and Vibu made our stay perfect. We felt part of their family They provided superb Sri Lankan food overlooking picturesque rice paddies and their huge variety of tropical fruit trees. Mahanama organised safaris with knowledgeable guides to Yala and Bundala. They also showed us the sites of Tissa....temples, lakes, sunset with bats!
