Amazing food great location for national park safari

The facilitate is very good and the staff are very friendly.

The stay was really pleasant. The staff was super friendly and protective. They always taking care of us and our vehicles from wildlife. Our Deluxe double room was simply splendid with more space and really great view of the ocean. The food was really superb, there was a really wide selection of food and desserts.

The staff were all wonderfully friendly and helpful with a special shout out to Sihina and Dinusha. The pool is a good size and there was plenty ty of shade and sun loungers. Food was excellent quality. Ratna the manager organized a fabulous Christmas Eve party with masses of fireworks. He organized safaris for us to Yala and to Bundala which we thoroughly enjoyed. Would stay here again. Don't miss the dusk spectacle of flying fruit bats on the opposite side of the lake.

We stayed for two nights. We really wished we had booked for more nights. The people who worked there were very nice, to us. The garden area was really pretty. The location of this place is great if you are planning to go on a Yala safari trip. We liked the Yala safari trip. This place was a good spot to start from.

This was one of the nicest places we stayed at in Sri Lanka! The hotel was absolutely beautiful but what made this place special was the people. We were welcomed and treated like family. We checked in a little late just due to exploring Sri Lanka and the GM even told us not to worry about check out time the next day- take our time, enjoy the pool and relax. The hotel only has 3 rooms so the staff is very attentive and take such great care of you. The meals provided by the chef were also delicious and very well prepared. Wonderful place - would highly recommend!

We loved our 2 nights stay here! The property is lovely and just as pictured. The room was spacious and clean. The staff organized the safari trip for us and after a half day safari we were able to enjoy the facilities at the resort. They have an amazing pool, archery corner, basketball court and even a mini golf court. The staff were absolutely amazing and so accommodating and lovely. The food was also really great and they were willing to adjust them to our dietary requirements. Big shoutout to Upul who was just lovely, on the day of us checking out he was so kind to surprise us with breakfast to go as he didn’t want us leaving the property without food!

Whether you’re planning to visit the Kataragama Dewalaya or go on a Yala safari, they’ll hook you up with the best options at very reasonable prices. They even have someone who can sort out your “Pooja watti” for you. And if you haven’t pre-ordered food, no stress – they’ll get it delivered from a nearby shop in just a few minutes. The place itself is great too – clean, spacious rooms with hot water. For the price, it’s more than worth it. Definitely recommend it if you’re looking for a safe, comfortable, and budget-friendly place to stay!

Unforgettable Stay at Farm Villa Resort! Amazing location with easy access to Yala National Park. The surroundings are absolutely stunning — full of natural beauty and peaceful vibes. We stayed two nights at Farm Villa Resort and had an unforgettable experience. The room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable, with a large balcony and even a private pool! We loved how much space and privacy we had, and the view of the paddy fields was breathtaking. You can even take a walk through the fields — a truly unique experience. The staff were exceptional — friendly, attentive, and made us feel completely at home from the moment we arrived. One of the best parts of our stay was the full-day safari to Yala Block 5, arranged by the resort. It started early at 5 a.m. with a private guide who helped us spot rare animals and birds. The resort took care of everything — from a delicious Sri Lankan breakfast to a memorable jungle lunch. Everything was perfectly organized for a comfortable and exciting experience. The resort is also great for bird watching and wildlife lovers — even monkeys came to visit us near the villa! The food was another highlight — both breakfast and dinner were full of authentic Sri Lankan flavor. The large swimming pool was clean and perfect for relaxing after a long day. We highly recommend Farm Villa Resort to anyone visiting Kataragama or Yala. This was one of the best stays we’ve had in Sri Lanka — and we will definitely be back!

We stayed two nights and went on a full day safari with the host Janaka. Our room was comfortable and it was so convenient to do the safari with them! The family was really friendly and we enjoyed the meals we ate there.

Awesome location with relaxing atmosphere

The hotel was very peaceful and surrounded by greenery. The swimming pool was clean and well-maintained. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the check-in process was smooth. The location was also great—close to the Kataragama.

It’s a beautiful place though smaller than one would imagine looking at the photos. But our stay was comfortable. The staff was very accommodating and gave us excellent support and service.

Clean and very spacious rooms. Stunning view towards the rice paddies and lake. Lovely pool to refresh and relax. The host family could not be more welcoming, they went out of their way to make us feel at home. Dinner and breakfast were very, very delicious!! We would have loved to stay much longer. Thank you everyone for being so kind to us, we'll come back some day. Also you can back your Safari here. The host Janaka organizes the trips himself and has the best drivers. We saw 2 Leopards with his diver Damith and were very happy with how he guided us through the Safari!
