The rooms are exceptionally large and beautifully designed, with every little detail carefully thought through. From the massive bathtub (even too big for two), the super comfortable oversized bed with great sheets, to the reserve collection Spa Ceylon toiletries and elegant fixtures, everything feels luxurious and works perfectly. The lighting, color tones, and greenery outside the windows create a calm, stylish atmosphere, with lots of natural light and very high ceilings that still feel intimate and cozy. The staff are well trained, so they felt attentive without being intrusive. Breakfast was high quality and quite expansive tbh. The pool is huge with plenty of loungers, making the whole place feel spacious and relaxed, almost like staying in a large boutique villa with friends. Biggest treat was that the surrounding rice paddies filled up so many fireflies at night, the setting is absolutely magical. There are lovely jungle roads nearby for running, a great yoga space, and the couple’s massage was the best we had in Sri Lanka (better than other boutique hotels and at a lower price..) This place is now in our top 5 boutique hotels in Sri Lanka .

This was a spectacular place to stay at - and the pictures do justice to the place. The host is very cordial and welcoming. Highly recommended place to stay at.

I had a wonderful time here. The food is super fresh and tasty, the staff are incredibly knowledgeable about Sri Lanka and are happy to share it with you. The views over the paddy fields are breathtaking and I loved the peaceful atmosphere of it all, and still you're just a tuktuk drive away from the next beach and the city of Galle. Thank you, I hope to be back another time!

A unique hotel with responsive staff! This hotel is unlike any other because it's located right in a wildlife sanctuary! It offers complete immersion in the jungle while maintaining a luxurious quality of life! An excellent restaurant with traditional Sri Lankan cuisine adapted with a modern twist! Ruan and his team are beyond praise! Kanti in the kitchen is a kind culinary goddess! After leaving the hotel, I still remember the local vibe, and my soul longs to repeat the experience!

Family run hotel with exceptional one to one caring service and big size rooms decorated with a fine taste of exotic style. Breakfast comes with abundance of fresh, healthy and tasty. It’s so fun to sit in the terrace and watch chipmunks and peacocks wandering around in the big beautiful garden.

The rooms were clean and very spacious. It was very elegant inside the room. The beds were super comfy. The pool was accessible anytime and had a good space and depth. The view was sceneric which overlooked a paddy field. Also the host was super friendly and very supportive on our requests. I would definetly not think twice to stay here whenever I'm back to the area.

My stay at Villa Gady initially was for one night however I extended my stay for a second night because this is an incredible place. You are welcomed by Melik, the owner, who is authentically kind. My room had it's own private beautiful pool overlooking the jungle, the sky was full of birds, monkeys were in the trees and the room itself was spacious, sparkling clean, the most comfortable bed, fast wifi, a flat screen tv to watch english programs, beautiful shower and in room tea. There is a shared well equipped kitchen (blender for smoothies) and another huge pool. I seriously could have stayed there a month or two. In fact, I plan to return. And if you want the best massage in Sri Lanka Melik is the person. Book this place and stay as long as you can.

As someone who loves design, I was blown away by BlackRoots. The way the hotel is built on elevated structures to let nature flow underneath is so thoughtful. The rooms are gorgeous, huge floor to ceiling glass windows, high ceilings, and beautiful materials that feel both rustic and incredibly luxurious. The infinity pool overlooking the mangroves was our favorite spot to unwind.

Nice and peaceful stay We had a very nice stay at Om Hotel. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is calm and peaceful, and the pool was nice. We also liked the Ayurvedic spa and treatments at the hotel. The location is good, and many places like Unawatuna Beach, Jungle Beach, Turtle Beach, and Galle Fort are nearby. Restaurants and shops are also close. We enjoyed our stay very much.

I had a great stay here and would absolutely come back. The room is spacious, clean, and thoughtfully designed, with beautiful old teal wood, a polished concrete floor, a nice mirror, and even a TV. The air conditioning is excellent—better than in many other places I’ve seen around here—and despite the large walk-through veranda doors and many windows, the room stays pleasantly cool. The lighting is also really good, which isn’t something you find everywhere. Some units have a porch, others a balcony—either way, you get your own outdoor space to relax. There are also several shared areas: one just outside my apartment, and a larger common space with an extra kitchen connected to multiple rooms. It’s all very practical and well maintained. A janitor is on-site and happy to help with anything you need—even things like laundry. The landlady is kind, thoughtful, and even helped organize my workspace. One of the absolute highlights is the view over the rice fields. It’s so peaceful and scenic that even locals stop nearby just to enjoy it. The property sits at the quiet end of a road, with around 10–12 units and a newly added swimming pool that looks great. Even though I didn’t see a single mosquito during my stay, the landlady still had a mosquito screen installed on my window—just one example of how accommodating and detail-oriented she is. She also offered me a very fair rate since I came during the off-season, which I really appreciated.
