A unique bohemian-style property, filled with beautiful artisan wooden craftsmanship, majestic statues, and thoughtful details throughout. On one side, our room overlooked a small lake with a mosque in the distance; on the other, an authentic kitchen that felt like a temple. We truly felt like royalty. We enjoyed a private dining experience on our terrace with our own butler. Jagath was incredible and took such good care of us, and we received the warmest welcome and ongoing support from Niffy 💗

The hosts were really, really kind and very helpful. They ordered the food for us, went to pick it up, and booked a tuk-tuk for us. He didn't hesitate to offer help; he called his friend who works at the train station just to be sure that we were going to take the right train. We had to leave really early in the morning, and they woke up early to give us some food for the road and to check that the tuk-tuk was there. Unfortunately, we booked 1 night only, and it was so nice being with them that we wanted to stay longer.

The place was well worth the price. Room was comfortable and the washroom was tidy, equipped with all amneties. Although it was a short stay, the experience was very pleasant.

The pool, the garden and the bedrooms were the best parts of...

The pool, the garden and the bedrooms were the best parts of the villa. The pool was not too deep (4 feet) which was great for the kids. The bedrooms had good air-conditioning which the hosts had kept on before we arrived so that the rooms were cool when we got there. The breakfast consisted of string hoppers, pol sambol, fish curry and dhal and there was plenty of it. For lunch and dinner we could either bring the groceries and the host would cook it for us or they offered to buy the groceries and cook it as well. They had another individual come in to handle the grilling of the meat on the BBQ so we didn't have to sweat over the grill ourselves. The garden is large and has many different varieties of trees and fruits growing, but the grass is trimmed and well kept. The property has a fence surrounding it so its great kids and adults alike to play when the weather is cooler. The villa was very clean and we were barefoot whenever we were inside. Our hosts were very accommodating too! It is perfect for those looking to stay in and relax and spend time with their friends and family in a peaceful and quiet place surrounded by nature.

It was a wonderful stay at Veyangoda.

It was a wonderful stay at Veyangoda. The owner and the service was excellent, they were so kind and helpful and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The pool had an amazing view and was wonderful. It was very reasonably priced for all that we got. Such lovely people.
