The manager and his wife make you feel special from the moment you arrive - actually before that - as I had sent them a host of emails and they replied incredibly swiftly. I knew they were caring and professional just from their response's. Nothing was too much trouble and if I hadn't been travelling around I would have made Hotel Transylvania my base - its proximity to Colombo and also the airport makes it an excellent staging post.

Brand new, beautifully furnished, oh so comfy beds, and such friendly hosts. This was the perfect place to spend the day prior to our long flight home. The individual cottages offer late check out and free airport shuttle. The breakfast was amazing, and so plentiful. Lunch and dinner are available and delectable.

HeI had a fantastic stay at Wetland Resort! It’s a small, extremely clean, and comfortable place. The pool is spotless and inviting, and the rooms are modern with comfortable beds and even a small kitchen, which is a great touch. The highlight of our stay was definitely the staff. They went above and beyond to help us, including arranging transportation and even preparing a special meal we requested that wasn’t on the menu. Their kindness and attentiveness made our experience truly memorable. I highly recommend this resort, especially for a convenient stopover near the airport. I would absolutely stay here again!

Very lovely hotel located in the center of Negombo right on the beach. Rooms are nicely decorated and fully equipped. Late afternoon I was surprised with a fruit platter that was send free of charge to the guest room. This felt so welcoming. The staff, especially the front office staff and the guest relation lady, is super kind and helpful.

The staff made this stay so so wonderful! The best experience in Sri Lanka- Thushal went out of his way to ensure I had late checkout and was comfortable. This hotel was the end of our holiday and I regret not spending more time here! Food is phenomenal. The rooms are clean with beautiful views of the beach and the most spectacular sunsets

The city and beach are two different vibes.

The city and beach are two different vibes. Beach also have a very local looking areas where you can have food and another one with beach vibe areas where you can enjoy a beer or byob to a restaurant. The beach is massive. good for people who like beach rugby, vollyball...etc. You cannot swim here as the sea is rough. but you can dip your feet and enjoy the water. Kids cannot go alone. The grand is an amazing place with amazing food and coffee. You will fall in love with this place. Kurulu Kale Church is an amazing place to be. The walk way to the church falls with the lagoon. the view was breathtaking.

The surroundings of Katunayake is semi urban and semi rural in nature. Traffic is normal and no major conjestions on highways. Majority people commute to Colombo for work. Markets and convenient stores are nearby. Mobility and services are readily available. Good place for relaxation and holidaying.

My friend and I had a very comfortable stay here. The room had all the details covered and was exceptionally clean. The host went out of her way to ensure we had everything we needed. It was one of the nicest rooms on our six week trip.

Very Disappointing Experience Not Recommended I had a very bad experience with this hotel. When I made the booking through Booking.com, the price shown was different. However, after arriving, they charged additional amounts that were not clearly mentioned at the time of booking. Even after checking into the room, staff came and asked for extra payments (around LKR 1,000+), which felt very unprofessional and misleading. This kind of behavior is unacceptable and gives the impression of a scam. Additionally, the service was poor. The evening staff member did not communicate properly and lacked basic customer service skills. It was uncomfortable dealing with someone who doesn’t know how to speak respectfully to guests. Overall, this was a very disappointing stay. If you are looking for a comfortable and trustworthy place, I strongly recommend avoiding this hotel. Kings gate transit hotel katunayake

I like most of the thing is staff's response was excellent...

I like most of the thing is staff's response was excellent and very quiet and peaceful room. The hotel must be implemented to do below the mentioned points. 1: The hotel room needs to keep a dustbin. 2: The hotel must keep a bath towel inside the bathroom. 3; The Bathroom inside the slippers needs to be kept. Other than this everything is ok.

I frequently visit Negombo, and I always enjoy its vibrant culture and excellent restaurants. While the beaches are beautiful, I hope they will be kept cleaner in the future. It's still one of my favorite places to visit!

The hotel was situated in a very peaceful environment, which was very suitable for refreshing rest. The most important thing is the airport pickup, which removed us from the hassle of arranging our own transportation. Overall, I would say that it was a superb place and would highly recommend the hotel.
