The Villa Martins is a hidden secret of getaways in Mozambique! Absolute value for money, exceptionally friendly and competent staff, wonderful food with fresh ingredients caught locally from the sea, and well looked after all round. The rooms and amenities were perfectly clean and well maintained - with a large freshwater pool in the central area. A perfect family getaway. And a good range of activities on offer - most are free of charge - snorekelling, wonderful walks on open flats at low tide, visits to the local village with great bars and restaurants. A photographers' paradise!

Beautiful location, great beach and the water is pristine and good for swimming. The lodge itself is very nice and the rooms have good views of the water. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Definitely worth going here. The boat ride from Maputo is 60 to 90 minutes depending on the weather.
