Beautiful modern hotel with a fantastic restaurant on the top level, great views, comfy pillows and bed. Large corner room was lovely!

The staff was incredibly friendly! When we arrived we got an upgraded room and a small tour, which was just lovely! The room was clean and very nice, the bed was also very comfortable!

I recently stayed at Van der Valk Hotel Leeuwarden and was thoroughly impressed from start to finish. The hotel is modern, spacious, and immaculately maintained. My room was large, with a comfortable bed, stylish décor, and a spotless bathroom equipped with a rainfall shower. Small touches like the coffee machine, generous desk space, and quiet atmosphere made it perfect for both work and relaxation. The breakfast: unfortunately I didn’t have the chance to try the breakfast. Location-wise: the hotel is just outside the city center, making it easy to reach by car with free parking, yet only a short drive or bike ride into Leeuwarden’s charming old town. What stood out most was the staff: friendly, professional, and genuinely eager to make guests feel welcome. From check-in to check-out, everything felt effortless and well-organized.

This was an amazing stay, the outside pod cabins are super nice and the view is out of this world! The staff are so friendly and nice, always smiling and very helpful. The breakfast is awesome, all local and home made products, they even requested halal meat for us from the supplier which was so considerate of them. We loved out stay there.
