I did not have breakfast here, but for anyone looking for a great backpacking experience, this is a great place. Full credit to the owner who has put together a neat setup from the most basic things around us.

This place is a little paradise. Olga prepares amazing dishes which not only look incredible, but also taste fantastic. The mountain view is amazing and you can enjoy it in the warm pool while having a drink. In the evening there is also a fire place to relax and watch the stars. The house itself is huge, cozy and has a big and well equipped kitchen if you like to cook. The fridge is filled with some drinks and snacks.

The tree house is cool. Right by the river. The casita was amazing, clean, well stocked, had everything, attention to detail!! The river is amazing, refreshing in the heat.

Caldera River Canyon / El Rio Encantado is Panama’s best kept secret. This ecological environmental preserve is pristine and shows the natural beauty of the Chiriqui Highlands of Panama. I can speak from hiking many of the trails in Chiriqui and this place is the best. The grounds,cabins and surrounding area are kept immaculate.The pool/bar area an oasis, with the pool water crisp. A birder’s paradise with multiple view points.If the pool is not enough there are multiple swimming holes on the river. The staff, Farsi, is awesome and helpful. The 3km trail along the river will not disappoint with the variety of birds,vegetation and views. All accommodations were built with a total respect for the natural environment. An amazing place. Thank you Frank, for sharing your knowledge, for giving us a tour of your museum and a breathtaking hike through your paradise.

Extraordinary experience in this agro forestry quiet, renewing paradise. Mariel welcomed us warmly and acquitainted us well with Casa Quetzal, which far exceeded our expectations. Chief Botanist Rodolfo Flores guided me through the edible forest. Words are inadequate to express the beauty and wonder of this incredible Bosque! The perfect long pool , steps away from our back porch, is great for laps and being surrounded by towering trees full of ferns, wild orchids, and gorgeous birds. Thanks so much, Wanakeset, Mariel, and Rodolfo! We're eager to return!
