I loved staying here. Amazing view for the price (for our room)! You have a natural river noise at night, I slept sooo well after the Salkantay trek. Breakfast is included, but very very simple. It was enough to get us going to Machu Picchu.

It is a beautiful and impressive site, but the amount of tourism and sort of chaos and regimenting of who goes where and how and not knowing exactly which route has what sites and views takes a LOT away from just being able to enjoy and take in the views. I would likely NOT take route 3 and opt for 1 or 2.

WHAT I LOVED THE MOST WAS THE LANDSCAPES, TRANQUILITY, PEACE AND THE OPPORTUNITY OF BEHOLDING THE MAGNIFICIENT NATURE IN MACHU PICCHU. (VICUÑAS, LLAMAS AND SOME KIND OF RABBIT-LIKE CREATURE). THE THING THAT I DISLIKED WAS THE PRICES IN AGUAS-CALIENTES AND MACHU P. RUINS, I KNOW IT'S A WONDER BUT A LITTLE EXAGERATED SO BE PREPARED WITH SOME EXTRA DOLLARS. THERE IS AN ATM WHERE YOU CAN WITHDRAW MONEY AND YOU PAY NO EXTRA FEES FOR THAT. MOST OF THEM CHARGE YOU AN EXTRA.

Machu Picchu is far more than an archaeological site—it's an emotion, an experience that leaves you speechless. No photograph or documentary can truly prepare you for the moment you see this magnificent Inca citadel emerging from the clouds. What amazed me most wasn't just the breathtaking architecture or the precision with which enormous stones were fitted together without mortar. Equally remarkable is the extraordinary engineering hidden beneath the surface. The sophisticated drainage system, terraced landscape, and underground foundations have allowed this masterpiece to withstand centuries of earthquakes, heavy rainfall, and the test of time. It is a stunning example of how advanced Inca engineering was, both above and below the ground. Every corner of Machu Picchu reflects incredible craftsmanship, ingenuity, and a deep respect for nature. Standing amidst these ancient ruins, surrounded by majestic mountains, you can't help but feel humbled by what was achieved over 500 years ago. This is not just a destination to visit—it's a place to experience with all your senses. Without a doubt, Machu Picchu is one of the greatest wonders of the world and a once-in-a-lifetime journey that will stay with you forever.

Fan-tas-tic!! Wow! Machu Picchu is amazing! We did a sunrise and an afternoon trip which gave us more to see and different mountains lit up. Truly special! Nice cafe and luggage storage at the entrance. You enter at set times but you can stay as long as you want after that. Buses up are timed but you just jump on any bus for the way down.

Machu Picchu lives up to its reputation as a wonder of the world. Would highly recommend others going here, take route 3 or 2 if you can, 3 gives you more inside access and 2 gives you more of a perimeter access, we did both and it was great!!!

Lovely hotel in a great location in this cute backpacker town. The beds were very comfortable, the room was warm and the staff were friendly and accommodating. Breakfast is good and plentiful, provided on the top floor with good views of the mountains surrounding. We had a very early start for Machu Picchu and they provided a takeaway breakfast upon request. We enjoyed our stay. We were also met at the station and showed the way to the hotel, which was a lovely gesture. I’d definitely recommend it here.
