The place was incredible, right by the main plaza and it was impeccably clean! They upgraded our room for free and gave us a room with a beautiful view! The staff was extremely kind. We went on tours every day and they prepared lunch boxes for us every morning along with water bottles. When we checked out, they even gave us a small gift! One of the best places to stay in Cusco! I highly recommend it!

I’m the ambassador of the Viajero hostels and this one is really good too! So sweet, helpful and polite girls on the reception - Elvira and Jared. WiFi is also good for a work and calls. Everyday it’s something at the hostel - karaoke, games and a lot of other things. I’m in love with Viajero hostels ❤️

This hidden gem was a fantastic place for our 5 nights while experiencing Cusco and its many interesting sights in and around the city. The staff were marvellous- friendly, attentive and willing to spend time to answer our many questions. There was always hot, fresh coca available in the lobby- breakfasts were delicious, beds comfortable, everything clean and in working order.

FAQs about hotels in Cusco

Timeless Incan Capital

Although it's considered the oldest inhabited city of the Americas and Peru's historical capital, neither of these truly describes the magic enchantment and colorful people of Cuzco. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, its current shape is the colonial result of building on top of many Incan sites, a good example of which is the Cathedral of Santo Domingo.

Must-see places include the walled complex of Sacsayhuamán and the remains of the main temple of Coricancha, dedicated to the Sun God, Inti. For longer Cuzco stays, hotels nePlaza de Armas central square are ideal to fully enjoy the city. Due to its 11,150-foot altitude, some Cuzco hotels offer oxygen to help their guests.

Moray, supposedly an ancient experimental agricultural station, is 29 miles away, and Lake Titicaca is 240 miles away. The road to Machu Picchu is the famous Inca Trail or "Camino Inca," which encompasses settlements, different Andean environments, and many Incan ruins.

Alejandro Velasco Astete International Airport offers services to Lima. Arriving at Wanchaq Train Station or Terminal Terrestre de Cusco bus station are also popular choices. Come to visit the ancient jewel, enjoy Peru and Cuzco with the hotel deals available on Booking.com!

Cusco is beautiful if you stick to the tourist areas and are mostly unaffected by the sight of neglected dogs and don’t mind a constant barrage of people trying to sell you all types of items. It is a shame because the food is delicious and it’s a culturally interesting area. If you do go, make sure to have a meal in one of the many restaurants overlooking the square.

Cusco is a lovely city with lots to do in town and in the neighboring region. The altitude is no joke! Even if you don't have the typical symptoms of altitude sickness you may still find it challenging to acclimatize. Even after being there over 2 weeks my Garmin read like I was speed walking 24/7 - higher than normal heart rate, lower than normal oxygenation (all readings went back to normal at sea level).

Cusco is a great city with soo much culture!

Cusco is a great city with soo much culture! I learned so much. There's so much to do. I spent 2 days visiting the Sacred Valley, then 3 days in Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu), then 7 days in Cusco city. and I didnt even have enough time to do everything. There are so many hikes and archeological sites. You could definitely stay for weeks. Lots of good food as well. I was there in June, their big festivals month, and they had parades every day, all day. All the locals were nice and there are a lot of tourists as well. I walked all over and took busses/colectivos to visit things outside of the city, they're pretty cheap. I ate at a Persian restaurant which was really good, called Bah Bah Persion. For cheap food I ate at the market often. Lots of smoothies I will definitely go back one day

The Sam Blas market is well worth a visit for the huge sandwiches and freshly squeezed juices, all for half the price of the tourist places in the centre of town. The Regional Historical Museum was a great way to pass an hour or so. I highly recommend going to Sacsayhuaman and then walking back to town through san Blas.

Cusco is a nice city with good food and clean air.

Cusco is a nice city with good food and clean air. Make sure you are ready for the high altitude place. You can experience the Peruvian culture walking around the city. There are some good restaurants with great food and service and the prices are very reasonable. You are getting quality food for less. The local people are very nice and friendly. Not many of them speak English, so make sure you learn a bit of the common phrases in Spanish.
