Szczawnica is a one-street village.
Szczawnica is a one-street village. It's a good place to start from for rafting the Dunajec and local walking and other explorations. We ate a an excellent restaurant, but it was empty at prime time in the middle of the high season.

Szczawnica is a very nice town sorrounden by the mountains, away from the main tourism of the Tatra mountains. The city has also some good places where to have dinner and has done some good job for hikers or pepole that want to have short walks close to the river.

I love Szczawnica!
I love Szczawnica! Always go there for the annual Pieniny-trail weekend. It's a beautiful town, with the river going through it. The locals are very warm and very hospitable. We had dinner in the nearby hotel sczawnica park reseort and spa, the food is of high quality and great service.
A great town for a short or long stay!

Spędzono niezapomniany czas w tym malowniczym miejscu w górach. Otoczenie z dala od zgiełku miasta i urzekające widoki na góry zapewniły spokój i niepowtarzalną atmosferę.
Przestronny i gustownie urządzony pokój spełnił wszelkie oczekiwania pod względem komfortu.
Codzienne śniadanie przy widoku na góry było niezwykłym doświadczeniem, a lokalizacja sprzyjała zarówno aktywnemu wypoczynkowi, jak i chwilom spokoju.
Podsumowując, pobyt przeszedł wszelkie oczekiwania, oferując nie tylko nocleg, lecz także wyjątkowe doświadczenie. Miejsce godne polecenia każdemu pragnącemu wyjątkowego wypoczynku w górach.

We enjoyed cabel cart to the top of the hill Palenica.
We enjoyed cabel cart to the top of the hill Palenica. We dont ski but we liked the view. We liked lunch in the Restaurant Maria next to the Lower park (Park Dolny). There are plenty grocery shops, clothes chops even cosmeticians shops. There is beautiful castle Niedzica nearby that is worth visit.
One thing that we were missing were more kid's playground and indoor playground. Because during our stay it rained and we had to search for different indoor activities.

A very nice place. Good location, quiet but not distant. Nice view over the mountains and the ski slope. Spacious room, with almost everything needed like wardrobe and pegs, tv set, electric kettle, plugs near bed, small fridge etc. Spacious bathroom. Clean. Free parking place. Kitchen at disposal. Very nice hosts, flexible and helpful.

Quiet location near a beautiful park, also close enough to the central street, cable car and the promenade.
Delicious a la carte meals in the hotel restaurant. Breakfast was good, too.
Comfortable beds.
Free billiards and ping-pong.
Kind and helpful staff.

beautiful view and quiet sorrounding. whole venue is brand new, and sauna/jacuzzi in price. Nearby locations also offer spa, but here is way more affordable and really nicely arrange.
