The hotel is recently renovated. We had a corner room with 2 large windows and one with a Juliet balcony which opened up to the street inside the old city. It was very quiet at night. There is a common room with sofas, coffee and tea. It’s a beautiful hotel. The front desk service was excellent-we were able to check in early. I would definitely book again.

Nice hotel along the camino road just perfect for rest after long day of waking. Staff was very friendly. Room was small but it had all you need. Cozy, clean - everything was perfect. Can only recommend.

The spa and the breakfast were amazing. Also they have a small kind of farm just by the hotel with horses, goats, chickens, ducks which are very pleasant. Although we did not try you can book a horse riding class. The lake which was just by the farm was really nice and peaceful. Great for a resting weekend and holidays 😊

The hotel staff is friendly, willing to answer questions and give directions and advice. I requested gluten free options for breakfast and several possibilities were provided. The views were spectacular, the Minho River winding between Portugal and Spain among lush verdant trees, cityscapes, hills and valleys.The staff were friendly and helpjul. We had left our bags, and they were already in our room when we returned to check in. A sweet note with pasteis de nata and fruit awaited us in the room. The social spaces were inviting & plentiful, the rooms spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was very good. The pousada sat at the far end of the ancient fortaleza with fabulous trails. Tons of stores and places to eat. We'll definitely return.
