The property was amazing! Fantastic views from our A-frame lodging on top of the mountain. We had a lovely fire in the wood burning stove and thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub with fantastic views.

It was an amazing stay, good location, close to Covilhã and Serra da Estrela trails. The house was very clean and had everything you’d need for a comfortable stay. All the amenities were in very good standard and the garden was huge. Very peaceful and perfect for a getaway in nature. The hosts were incredibly nice and flexible. Highly recommended.

This is a hotel with a gorgeous view and with staff that are first class. I stayed here before, when it was a proper Pousada but losing that status has not lowered its standards. The restaurant staff were excellent, the food was OK

We arrived late at night, the keys were waiting in the box and we opened with a code we received from the host We entered a charming cottage, modern in an ancient original structure The design is young, light and inspires a feeling of vacation and cleanliness The kitchen was equipped with all the necessary appliances The location is central, a charming little town with a welcoming community We highly recommend the place

Spent one night in the historical village of Belmonte after exploring the Serra da Estrela region. Had a room with a view to the mountains, which was incredible. Dinner in the hotel was very good as well as breakfast. There's plenty of parking available in front of the property. The historical center of Belmonte is just 10 minutes walk.

With its old-style walls and the fact that it's built right into the sloping terrain, the house perfectly captures the essence of the mountain village Belmonte. Parts of the rock face are still visible inside and become part of the wall decoration. Being a souterrain room it stays cool during the summer and makes for a cozy little cave.
