The rooms were nice and had air-conditioning. The building was nice and quiet for the most part. The main door and elevator door slams so when people come in late it's loud but no one comes through super late at night so there are no distractions from sleep.

I was pleasantly surprised by the charm of this place…. It definitely has the feel of older Europe. Normally we stay at 4 and 5 star properties, but being a last min trip to Cartaxo, or normal lodging was booked. So we decided to try the Batalhoz Guest House.
