Loved the uniqueness of the accommodations. Proximity to a hike with 2 waterfalls. Close to grocery store and multiple cafes. Host was very responsive and accommodating when our plans changes. Well equipped kitchen. There happened to be a festival in town during our stay and the host shared the schedule of events and warned us ahead of time of the potential fir additional noise--ended up not being an issue. Nice bathroom amenities. Love the transformation from a rustic house.

# Spacious apartment with all required equipment for self service # Close to the sea and the beach # Close to a number of nice hiking trails in the forests around Faial. # Good and quiet location to discover the eastern part of Sao Miguel # The apartment is a bit difficult to find but with the guidance received from the host we found the apartment relatively fast and easy

We were only 2 people and only stayed one night but seems it would’ve been very comfortable for a larger group and/ or longer stay. Place was immaculate and had everything we needed. Host even had coffee, tea, biscuits and water bottles for us!

I enjoyed every minute of my 3-week stay at this property. In my 24 years of traveling, this location has been one of the best. The owner thought of every detail to make our stay memorable. The apartment is both comfortable and situated near three supermarkets. It takes 500 meters to reach the beach. Within a 2-minute walk, you can find several excellent restaurants. Very easy to park. If you're looking for the perfect vacation to relax, have good food, see amazing places, and meet amazing people, Carla's place is the place to go. Thank you so much.

We stayed at Casa Borda da Rocha during our honeymoon, and it was an unforgettable experience. The house has a spectacular view of the Atlantic Ocean, and the interior is even more spacious than it appears in the photos. Everything was spotlessly clean — far beyond what you normally expect from a rental home. The check‑in process and communication were smooth and easy, and the house is equipped with everything needed for both short and long stays. There is also convenient parking close to the property. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to stay in such a wonderful place. It made our honeymoon truly special.

This property is beautiful. Clean, well equips, a lovely gift basket, recommendations for activities and restaurants. Wine and coffee to purchase on site. It was everything we needed and more. The gardens are beautiful and the views are breathtaking.

Faial is a small village, with a beautiful church, two bars...

Faial is a small village, with a beautiful church, two bars and a small but well-stocked supermarket. It's in a breathtakingly beautiful spot and a great base for hikes up to the Salto do Prego waterfall and the "lost" village of Sanguinho. There is a small beach with some impressively clean and well-maintained facilities - public BBQs, toilets and a small but immaculate public pool. It is clear that the beachfront is continuing to be modestly developed and invested in, so it is likely to be an increasingly convenient and attractive spot for day trips. Getting to most of the famous attractions of Sao Miguel from Faial does involve a slow and windy drive through Povoacao and Furnas and there are much more convenient places if you want to visit Sete Cidades, etc., and the eating-out options in Faial are limited and basic (and correspondingly affordable) but we really loved the village and highly recommend it.

Nice little quiet coastal town off the beaten touristic track. Scenic valley, close to hiking trails through divine spectacular nature, a couple of restaurants, a grocery store, everything you need for a refreshing trip for nature lovers.
