Great laundry service! All the property is aesthetically pleasing, there's a comfy hammock in the yard, cute cats on the property. Close to the airport.

my favorite thing was definitely the beautiful surrounding scenery well that and the mud but most people dont like that lol, i thought the owner jose was a very nice man friendly and helpful and treated his guests like on of the family, i would fully recommend staying there any time of the year

Ponta Delgada is very relaxed, with shops, bars and restaurants (don't expect shopping malls) and between Pentecost and mid July there are celebrations around the island. Whilst there the finish of the events took place with concerts, public lunch (1 euro pp) and after the service in the main square there was a glass of milk and brioche for all, we were served by the mayor - an indication of how relaxed it is. Bus go to most parts of the island from both sides of the main street - check with people for the correct bus stop for your destination, bus fares are around 3 to 5 euros depending on the distance and they tend to leave on time.

It was a very enjoyable stay.
It was a very enjoyable stay. From the first day of arrival to the last day. Location is great to be in between of a sandy beach in a walking distance from the apartment and Ponta Delgada in opposite direction along the ocean coast. Apartments with a picturesque view on the ocean with 4 bedrooms (2 of them with a balcony on a ocean side), fully equipped kitchen, 2 bathrooms on a separate floors. Communication with hosts was very good. Helped us a little bit on arrival with instructions how to enter the apartment and provided us with many helpful information including weather conditions and ordered the taxi to airport early in the morning. Helped us to explore the island connecting us with local tourist company. One day trip to famous local points of interests with Ivo was very pleasant and informative. In one word Highly Recommended!

Roads on the island are very narrow in places.
Roads on the island are very narrow in places. If you're going to rent a car, get a small one. And make sure you take photos of the car when you get the rental, as the rentals look them over with a fine tooth comb upon return. We got tagged with a 200 euro "damage" fee that I'm now going to have to pursue with our insurance.

This property exceeded every expectation.
This property exceeded every expectation. The check‑in was smooth, the room was immaculate, and the bed was extremely comfortable. I appreciated the thoughtful touches throughout the space, and the facilities were maintained to a very high standard. The staff were exceptional — welcoming, efficient, and consistently helpful. The location is convenient yet peaceful, making it easy to relax after a day of exploring. A flawless stay from start to finish.

Ponta Delgada is a great location if you want to visit the island. The town itself is picturesque and small enough that you can walk everywhere. You can find buses to go everywhere else in the island, and a number of activities such as whale and dolphin watching and deep sea diving are based there. We particularly enjoyed the swimming pool complex with its sea water pools. The weather was never really hot and was often cloudy, but quite pleasant. We really enjoyed our stay. The island is beautiful and there aren't too many tourists. We visited some stunning spots elsewhere in the island, such as Furnas and Sete Cidades. A great holiday overall.

The location was great, close to the beach and restaurants. Having a private car park was ideal as we were always assured of a safe parking spot no matter what time we came home.
Ryan was very quick to respond to all of our questions and very helpful.
We would recommend having the guest info book easily accessible to guests.

BLACK MOULD AND DAMP IN PROPERTY - AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
As soon as you walk into the property, there is a VERY strong smell of damp/mould. It meant I couldn't sleep properly for the 2 nights we were there and I actually had breathing problems for days afterwards.
There was a huge dehumidifier in the kitchen and it had also recently been re-painted so the owners know of this issue and still are accepting paying customers, which is terrible as it's a health hazard!
We let the reception know and what they offered as an alternative accommodation was not relative. Also we only had 3 days on the island so didn't have time to be researching alternative places to stay. It was the morning so we'd opened all the doors to get rid of the smell. At night when all doors and windows were closed, the smell was unbearable and we felt trapped and unsafe.
I would NOT recommend staying in this property at all.
Anything positive about the property is negated by the black mould and smell of the property.

I liked the room and the bar. The breakfast was ok.
I liked the room and the bar. The breakfast was ok. Nice pool, jacuzzi and sauna facilities. Location is very central and walking distance to everything. Be careful when reserving parking - we were forced to pay for one night even if we didn't use it. Didn't ruin the experience, but it wasn't very well handled by the hotel.

It is a place where new and beautiful buildings and places are alternating the old and not that well maintained.
You can stay there for quite a long time but it is definitely recommended to have a vehicle to explore the surroundings.

I stay here every time I come to PDL. absolutely love this hotel. super comfortable, very clean and a great place to relax. the pool and spa area are wonderful! staff are very helpful. thank you to all of you for making my stay calm and memorable. amazing location too, close to everything. highly recommend!

Spectacular. The hotel manager and his team made our stay truly special. After finding out it was our wedding he went above and beyond by allowing us all over the hotel for photography, special items in our room, and just made us feel like special people throughout our stay. Everyone you speak to is kind and helpful and love hearing about your experience. Will always come back to Octant PDL!
