Built in the early 16th century, Quinta do Bom Despacho has been in the same family for over 400 years. In 2014, direct descendents of the first owner started a conversion of the estate into an eco lodge which opened in the summer of 2015. Set in 8.000m2 of grounds, the house currently welcomes up to 20 people throughout 10 bedrooms spread over 3 floors. Quinta do Bom Despacho is managed by people but inspired by nature. It is a place where the past meets the future, the mind meets the heart and sustainability provides simple answers to the wicked problems of modern society.
We are a very small family business with collaborative management and sustainability has been at the core of our business right from the start. Vision: Inspire people to take action towards everyday sustainability, happiness and wellbeing. Mission: Provide comfortable, eco-friendly and pleasant spaces for guests, visitors and team members to enjoy, benefit and learn from during their time with us.
