Everything! The staff was super friendly and helpful. The room ( we booked the larger one with a small kitchenette, worth it!) The view is amazing. The vegetables in between the vineyard were interesting to see. Everything and everyone was so detailed oriented.

Was in a beautiful area with amazing views. The hotel was clean. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Was initially disappointed there was no AC in the room but realized you didn’t need it - just kept the balcony door open and the breeze was adequate. Food was good, desserts were great.

Reception had many ideas for activities and could help with loads of suggestions. Quiet and family friendly crowd, great staff. Many organised activities. Exceptionally clean. The location were exceptional, very private, and very quite...

The location were exceptional, very private, and very quite in general. The view was amazing to the ocean. We loved the terrace where we enjoyed the view to the ocean, and during night time the sky full with stars. We were having breakfast on the terrace every day, and we ended our day too gazing the stars. The cleanliness was exceptionally good, and this property is very well equipped. You can cook, barbecue, wash your clothes, iron, swim in the pool ... lots of possibilities. The humidity was a challenge. We found a dehumidifier, but that didn't helped us much, as probably the walls had humidity in them too, so at night time we used the electric radiators to dry our linen and pillows before going to sleep. Wifi password was different, and had to ask the host, but that one have been resolved pretty quickly. Also there are Wifi repeaters, which are using a different network id with different password, but we managed without that too. (If you plan to use the Wifi from the sun terrace, that maybe you will need the password for the repeater too, but the host could probably help you with that too.)

We needed a restful escape and this was the perfect location...

We needed a restful escape and this was the perfect location to wind down and relax. A truly beautiful and tranquil spot with the most amazing views from villa, terrace and pool. A car is essential for getting around. Everything provided for self catering, friendly locals, good bars and cafes nearby, and a lovely marina and supermarket in nearby Calheta.

Good place to cover western / north western part of Madeira...

Good place to cover western / north western part of Madeira island during your holiday, calm village with limited shopping options (grocery by car 10 minutes, good cafe 7 minutes, restaurants in Paul do Mar 10 minutes by car). you need a car to stay mobile here. Beautifull ocen views and sunsets - very relaxing. One house at the top of the village is a modern architecture piece worth to see, visible when comming down to village from rundabout after approx 500 m.

Nice and calm place to explore the west part of the island. If you want to relax and rest this is a nice location but if you prefer a kind of urban area with restaurants and more facilities this is not your place.

The hotel is beautiful, with gorgeous terrace to sit in the sun and enjoy a cup of tea. There is really big common area where you can use chairs, tables, kitchen, pool table and games, swimming pool, sunbeds. View is beautiful. Lovely personnel, tasty brekfast with desserts - homemade cakes, every morning different cake. There is a very good restaurant only 2 minute walk from hotel. That hotel is really great place if you want to relax and have lazy day by the pool. Private parking is available - that is rare in Madeira.

I loved the atmosphere of the whole villa! For sucha small hotel, it has many different leisure areas - a room with minibar with a variety of delicious portuguese wines, pool table and a few board games, reading room with a fireplace, small swimmingpool with patio and terrace garden in a steep slope above the villa with grill area. Superb view of the ocean from the terrace. Gabriel who met me to hand over the keys was extremely friendly and helpful and donated tangerines and from his next door veg plot sweet potatoes and cauliflower. There were a couple of neighbourhood cats which swing by for breakfast lunch and dinner. Very useful washing machine following 2 weeks in hotels.
