My stay at Palacium Charming Suites was absolutely perfect. The service was excellent from the moment I arrived. All the staff were friendly and attentive, and I want to give a special mention to Ricardo, who was incredibly kind and helpful throughout my stay. The breakfast was delicious with plenty of great options. My room was beautiful, very clean, and extremely comfortable. The bathroom and the bed were amazing — truly a 10/10 experience. I highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again.

The owner is a perfect host. She is highly attentive to the wishes of her guests. And the staff is all friendly and welcoming.. The property is lovely. Gorgeous gardens set in a vineyard quinta. Beautiful views. Our lodge room was large, comfortable and quiet. Everything was spotless. Breakfast was a great start to our busy days. Excellent value. Highly recommended.

The town has a history of an artist's retreat, with a museum and Malhoa, the most famous artist's, residence. It has historic medieval buildings in a cobblestreet old town center. There is a large Saturday market with a lot of variety. The hilly countryside is gorgeous and features Sao Simao River Beach for swimming and hiking. It is easy to spend a week or more in the area.

A really pleasant village tucked away in the countryside,...

A really pleasant village tucked away in the countryside, slightly off the beaten track-which suited us fine. A relatively good choice of places to eat in the evening, so you can leave the car at the hotel and wander about. Local people friendly and helpful, we enjoyed it there.

I stayed in the historical center of town and it was...

I stayed in the historical center of town and it was excellent. The hotel was excellent. I felt safe. There were restaurants, coffee shops, laundry and shopping all within walking distance. There is an Intermarche in town . Also the bus station was walking distance I was able to take to Lisbon and then connect down to the Algarve. I met with a realtor and looked at 4 properties outside of town. I definitely could see myself living in Figueiro dos Vinhos. If nothing else it's worth a visit to central Portugal. The food and drink were very affordable in this town compared to the more touristy areas in the Algarve.

We stayed as a family of four in the cottage.

We stayed as a family of four in the cottage. When we booked, we were fully aware that the property is ideal for 2 as the sofa bed is small. However the natural beauty of the surroundings was absolutely breathtaking and magical. Our two daughters of 21 and 18 were in absolute awe of the place! The rustic cottage was beautifully renovated and clean and we were delighted! I strongly recommend renting this property if you want to experience a magical stay swimming in your private natural pond in the morning, eating as you watch the river flow 10 meters away and falling asleep to the rustling of leaves and the flowing waters of Praga SAO SIMAO. LOVED, LOVED, LOVED! The host was very quick to reply to all our messages. Thank you!

Nice area with lots of small local businesses.

Nice area with lots of small local businesses. Friendly and helpful people. Generally good quality traditional reasonably priced food served in the restaurants and cafes. Great base to explore the area from.
