Property info

Quinta Do Sobral is a 4.5 hectare country estate, revived by Bernhard and Brigitte Nowakowsky who acquired the estate in 2005. There are three detached houses in total, offering all modern conveniencies. - the Manor House (Solar), a grand new building in traditional Portuguese style showing a lovely interior garden and an inviting terrace with spectacular views over the idyllic countryside. There are four comfortable double rooms, each with private bathroom. - two holiday cottages, renovated true to style and with much loving care. The estate is a working farm with vineyards, cork oaks, chestnut and fruit trees, a flock of sheep and a lot more. It is situated in an idyllic and rural landscape, even though only 10 minutes' walk to the centre of Figueiró dos Vinhos with all amenities such as shops, supermarkets and a great weekly market on Saturdays.

Quinta Do Sobral is an excellent location for various activities. On the one hand you will find perfect conditions for canoeing, riding, hiking, mountain biking and more. On the other local highlights as for example the famous Schist villages or the work of well-known Portuguese painters who had lived here - as is the case for José Malhoa - will attract your attention. More, Quinta Do Sobral is a well suited starting point for visiting World Heritage sites and other historic highlights which may be visited within a comfortable day trip - Batalha, Alcobaça, Coimbra, Marvão and a lot more.
