The staff was super, The feel of this hotel is old school, in the best possible way, properly maintained with well trained and friendly helpful employees. Large rooms. Would definitely stay here again.. oh wait, we did.. ended up staying for a week! The grounds & pool are really nice, great for a decompression after business meetings. Nice to be greeted with a welcoming smile upon returning each day.

Staff was very receptive and supportive during all the stay, the place is beautiful, the hotel is nicely maintained, my wife and I are vegans by informing the team in advance it was accommodated nicely, I would definitely consider to come back.

The style of the hotel has become quite retro, but the quality of the original facilities means that this is retro with charm and comfort, even if somewhat faded. The working fireplaces in several locations of the hotel, including the bar and the breakfast room, added a lot to the pleasant atmosphere. The building has a history and historic connections, it was very interesting to read about these on site. At our departure, the clouds had lifted and the view of the snow-covered Serra da Estrela was the cherry on the cake.

I arrived at a late time without having dinner. Knowing my situation, and although the kitchen was already closed, the team offered me a simply but very tasty meal. We conversed a bit and everyone was very nice and kind. Breakfast was very tasty and my night was very restful. I recommend this place to everyone passing by Nelas. I will definitively chose o Frances if i go back to the region and will eagerly eat there again.

We had one of the nicest hotel experiences for years. The most amazing part is the team at Puro Dão Hotel & Spa. They are making your stay a wonderful experience and you cannot wait to book your next trip and bring your family along! Thanks for everything, from check-in by Wilson, the well prepared, comfortable and spacious rooms, a wonderful breakfast and the very attentive staff!

It was a decent room for a reasonable price compared to other nearby options. Breakfast was okay. The hotel is quite clean. Seems to have opened relatively recently.
