The house is wonderful and decorated with care. The hosts were great and helpful and always available to respond to our questions and requests. We had amazing biological eggs from the farm next door available at our arrival. It's quite easy to access very nice beaches in the surroundings, but ideally you need a car. This was such a pleasant surprise of a rural hotel. The receptionist was so friendly. The room was comfortable, clean, and spacious. He comped our breakfast in the morning which was plentiful. There is a gorgeous little balcony with a jacuzzi. And lots of common room seating throughout. Just such a sweet little stop if you are passing through!

The beaches in Santa Cruz are astounding. The place isn’t very touristy, even at the end of August, and it feels pretty chill during that period as well. It’s easy to get around by car. It’s a perfect place to go surfing or just hang out with friends and relax. Keep in mind that the beaches can become unswimmable depending on the waves

For a couple, I recommend staying at the bungalow. It was great that they offered many programs like water yoga and gym classes included in the price. The restaurant food was great, especially the two-person steak and the fish soup. It's a great place for families with children to come.

This place is a piece of heaven away from people and...

This place is a piece of heaven away from people and touristic craziness if you want to isolate and enjoy slow living. I also recommend visiting Santa Cruz in October, November, December, January, February, March, and April when the tourists are gone and the place seems like pure paradise only for the happiness of your eyes.

The place is so lovely, the temperature is perfect in Summer...

The place is so lovely, the temperature is perfect in Summer as we had 20-25 degrees on average, it is true that the water in the ocean is cold, but it is highly compensated by nice food, good weather and great people. I totally recommend you to try this destination, specifically the "Santa Cruz" apartments, in the Santa Helena building, one of the bests apartments I´ve been.

The hotel is brilliantly located in the middle of Santa Cruz. Just a short walk to beach, cafes, bars and restaurants. The staff were exceptional very welcoming and went out of their way to make our stay the best it could be. The room was clean and larger than we might have expected. Loved having a balcony and a sea view albeit over rooftops.

Warm welcome and a very attentive host. It looks like a family business and the people running it are very hard-working. Breakfast had various options to choose from. It even met the standards of bigger hotels. I would definitely recommend staying at Hospedaria Recomeçar.

Amazing location, swimming pool, breakfast, facilities, room and staff. Skateboards, surfskate and bikes are free to use. Rooms are cleaned everyday. Santa cruz is the best location to visit both ericeira and peniche with more than 30 surf spots.
