A mini oasis central to the city, staff were very friendly and spoke excellent English as our Romanian was non existent 😂. The breakfast was second to none, had everything that you wanted. Rooms were very clean and so spacious with lots of amenities, we even had a bottle of wine red waiting for us when we got back to our room one evening.

FAQs about hotels in Bucharest

Where Modern Meets Old

A fascinating mix of old and new, Bucharest is one of those cities where you can find a futuristic structure of glass and steel next to an old church, separated by a Communist-style massive edifice. Not overwhelmed by its dark past, the city is now turning its optimistic face towards the West.

Undergoing constant modernization, the city continually changes and new modern structures pop up in the city center and beyond. Great examples are the stunning Basarab Bridge, Europe’s widest cable bridge, and the City Gate Towers.

While admiring the new, don’t miss out on the old classics, like the Parliament Palace, the world’s second largest building, with over 3100 rooms and impressive marble interiors covering 81.5 acres. Make sure you check out the view from Nicolae Ceauşescu's balcony!

To fully appreciate the city’s long history, from Vlad the Impaler (aka Dracula) to the ’89 revolution, the city offers free guided walking tours, giving you a great opportunity to discover all the city’s secrets. And spot all the best shopping venues!

Before you land at Bucharest Airport, just 11 miles from the city center, make sure you check what Booking.com has to offer: from hotels to apartments, just a few clicks away!

A big city with much to do.

A big city with much to do. This review is mostly written from the point of view of a wheelchair user. For able bodied people, I would highly recommend! Issues I had were that there are no dips in footpaths and the drop is substantial. Also, a lot of them are in poor repair with cracks that make it harder to transverse with a wheelchair. Public transport is good by bus, most of them have a ramp. However, it depends on which driver you meet as a lot of them wouldn't come out to manually lower it for us so we had to lift up a very big step up. I have found Romanian people very friendly and helpful, most of them would offer assistance. You will find wheelchair accessible toilets mostly only in big shopping centers, just be aware that you can mostly not lock them. We have not found any wheelchair accessible toilet in old town, and we asked in lots of places. We visited the Palace of Parliament which was accessible, but also does not have a wheelchair toilet. I feel the lack of facilities is something that should be addressed as it is a lovely place to visit! You don't see many people there in wheelchairs which I guess is partly the reason it isn't done.

Bucharest pleasantly surprised me.

Bucharest pleasantly surprised me. It is a modern city, quite clean and safe with historical buildings and landmarks, friendly and polite people. It is a mixture of the historical periods it has gone through and this is its identity. It is definitely worth a visit.

With its grand architecture, rich history, and vibrant modern culture, Bucharest is a timeless blend of history and contemporary luxury. The traditional food is absolutely outstanding, offering mouth-watering authentic flavors. You can mix high-end shopping with museum visits, and walks that allow you to soak in the grandiose architecture. Experiencing pastry shops, cafes, and the old town is a must.

The streets were broken and very old.

The streets were broken and very old. There is no maintenance of roads. The buildings are old and ugly even in the old town. It’s not special for the people from Western Europe. Street dogs are common and roaming around, quite dangerous for kids and adults specially at night time.

Bucharest is a very beautiful and old city.

Bucharest is a very beautiful and old city. The contrast between the old and new buildings is evident. People are very kind and helpful. Old Town is beautiful and easy to get to. Local food is delicious. The areas around the city center and the Old Town are very clean and well-maintained. Unfortunately, during my stay, the area around the airport (Baneasa) was under renovation, so it was difficult to find the right bus; I ended up taking the Bolt.

Great place to see, but be sure to visit Cluj and Constanța.

Great place to see, but be sure to visit Cluj and Constanța. Bucharest is not your average European city. Most of the city got rebuilt during communism. Transit is great. The city is boring to visit alone.

I love this hotel. It was the second time I've stayed and the staff remembered me (to be fair, I practically moved in on the last visit as I was there for a couple of weeks) and as before, they were as friendly and kind as the last visit. I'm a lover of history and in particular, the art deco period so this hotel is perfect for exploring and immersing yourself in that period. Behind the hotel is a good selection of restaurants and bars but its a short walk to the old town. I will always book back here when I'm next in Bucharest.

Brand new hotel and modern, spacious apartment, kind and helpful staff. We stayed in the heart of Bucharest, in a very central location. Great location, next to the old town. Mrs. Kelekidou, manager of the hotel, willing to meet us and serve us in anything we needed. Kind and very pleasant person informed us about the attractions of the city. I highly recommend. If you choose Bucharest for a leisure trip or a business trip, it is indisputably the best place for your stay.

The hotel is located in the Old Town of Bucharest, right next to a metro line. Most of the city’s attractions are within a range of 1–1.5 km.There are restaurants and cafés nearby, although some of them cater mainly to tourists. The hotel’s advantages include its location and the cleanliness of the rooms.
