Amazing location with nice views. Perfect location to see the northern lights; we were able to see it right from the balcony. The apartment is well equipped and there's a supermarket nearby within walking distance. The water was cold due to heater issues when we arrived on a Saturday, and the hosts were very responsive and quickly get the issue partially resolved on the day itself, and fully resolved by the next day.

The home was perfect for our stay. The bathrooms were clean, the beds were comfortable, and the kitchen had everything we needed. The laundry and drying room was great. And the SAUNA was the best!

Great location, with equipment available for any winter outdoor activities. Very reasonably priced, with amazing staff and people around. Got to tick off so many things off the bucket list and with so many more activities left to do! I will definitely be coming back. To anyone deciding whether to do the dog sledding tour it was amazing and worth every penny!

Everything about this place is amazing, the best value by far in the area! If you like nature this place is the best ever!!! You even hear the river at night. Beautifull short hike from the house along the river to a stone beach on the lake. Close enough to train station to walk.

Abisko is a great place for northern lights, best things is joining the chasing tours. Otherwise, there are not a lot of sightseeing places. Getting around is not easy unless you have a car, but on the other hand, there isn't a lot of places you need to go.

Ensure you layer your legs and hands too !

Ensure you layer your legs and hands too ! When temps hit -18 but wind chill is -28 you're finger tips and toe tips are so cold that it doesnt matter if rest of your body is nice and warm. So ensure you have proper layering on your hands and legs. Nature is beautiful even when its just snow all around there is sooo much to observe and notice from how snow is compacted to different way ice is freezing over. To sooooo many animals just roaming around to how the plants and trees adapt. Clear night skies where you can see stars is breathtaking ! If your used to being picked up after please this isnt the right place. But if you pick up after yourself love to appreciate nature and your not here to click photos for instagram or social media then this place is the place to be in the winters Sad to see few tourists littering beer cans around. Please pick up after yourself this place is till not messed up bu humans its just few rotten apples so if you litter please pick it up and if you see someone littering please call them out.

Overall, i would rate the place a good base.

Overall, i would rate the place a good base. You are getting a "hostel" experience but more upscale and cleaner. Great location to explore trails etc. Only negative is the cost of food; be prepared for sticker shock. I would highly recommend bringing your own supplies - maybe from Kiruna as you can cook your own food and save $ EUR etc which can be put towards guided activities.

Small village, very quiet.

Small village, very quiet. Far from the agitation of the city. Best place to embrace the darkness and the wild and watch the northern lights. Only one small supermarket in town, most of the activities are happening outside in the nature so be used to outdoor activities.

I have been here eleven times, which must show that I like it very much. I have been here summer and winter as well. I mostly hike to Lapporten and Trollsjoen. On the other hand, I am not a fan of Kungsleden, which for me is a motorway for pedestrians.

We really liked that this place was small - only four private rooms to rent. For this reason it was very quiet which was great. The supermarket is a 5 minute walk away so that made things easier too. Also, the National Park is about 30 minutes away by foot, on a nicely marked trail. The kitchen has everything you need, plus some people left their Müsli and other food behind, so you could help yourself in case you were running low on items. Dishwasher, coffee machine, water cooker, oven, and stove, big fridge. Would definitely stay again.

The Absiko Mountain lodge has been completely fulfilled my expectations of vaction in the Nationalpark. The service and servants are very friendly and helped me with questions, if needed. I am glad to recommend this house not only for other guests, but also for a second stay of myself, may be in winter time.

Perfect location, close to the train station , supermarket and the lake. Also walking distance (nice hike) to Abisko national park and other facilities. We could rent an overall, boots and all accessories for the huge snow outside. We could even see the Aurora Borealis from our living room window

Great location, the private cabins were nice, the sauna is included in the price, there are car parking spaces near the cabins, plenty of various tours are organized and start from this hotel. Also it had a big dryer inside our cabin to dry our clothes after days adventures and sauna.
