Smögen is very charming and beautiful town with walking paths in the harbour as well as paths on the rocks with beautiful views on the sea, islands and the town. There are some restaurants serving sea food.

Pension Bryggat lies at a fabulous location in Smogen from where you can do walking trips, traveltrips to Fjalbacka, Fiskebaksil etc and go into town. Our host told us what to do and was very helpful. The bathroom and toilets are on the hall and have to be shared with others. We had some noise from music and bathroomfacilities. Like i said a great location but we got more a bit a youthhostel experience.

We stayed in the ”annex” and were definitely disappointed- photos on their website didn’t show the truth, it was like staying in a 1980s socialist conference hotel… We ate dinner at the restaurant and it was mediocre at best- poorly executed battered fish with not so fresh tasting vegetables. For over 1000kr one would expect far more, especially in a ”fishing village”. Won’t be back!

Sommar på Smögen is a beautiful, atmospheric accommodation (basement with windows) and is within walking distance of the beautiful harbor area with nice shops and restaurants. The apartment is super clean. The owners are very friendly, helpful, and enthusiastic. We enjoyed our stay.
