The historic buildings were absolutely beautiful. Breakfast was wonderful. And all of the historic sites as well as the city center were in easy walking distance. This is the perfect place to stay if you're wanting to experience the local history and culture.

We went on a Wednesday when there was an old car meet up.

We went on a Wednesday when there was an old car meet up. Great buzz in the city. Live band playing and really lovely places to eat and drink outside. Also beautiful walk by the castle and church. Recommend a visit!

The weather wasn't as pleasant as we had hoped, but one...

The weather wasn't as pleasant as we had hoped, but one can't blame Vadstena for that. The castle is well worth a guided visit, and the town is very pleasant for walking, with lake-front paths and many small shops (be careful - they shut at 15.00 on Saturdays).

Vadstena is an amazing place.

Vadstena is an amazing place. Lots of culture buildings, castle and of course the famous church. You can take a swim from any place along the lakefront. Taking a walk is highly recommended. Walk all the way out to the lighthouse. If you get hungry, grab something to eat and sit down in the park. Lovely!

Vadstena is a very charming and beautiful Swedish town.

Vadstena is a very charming and beautiful Swedish town. We really enjoyed our stay. It is very walkable. The castle tour was excellent, as was our visit to the abbey. There are many good places to eat, and everyone we encountered was very friendly.

We loved everything in this place! The hen house was renovated and styled with a thought and quality. The old farmhouse surroundings is peaceful and beautiful. And the delicious breakfast!! Lina and Karl took very good care of us! We will definitely choose Kungs Starby Gård again if we visit Vadstena.

The apartment is really comfortable, perfectly suited for a vacation. Sadly we were there for one day only. The house is really charming, in a neighborhood close to the center of Vadstena. There is nothing to complain about. I would visit again if I ever go to Vadstena again.
