We had a wonderful three-day stay at this romantic and historic hotel. The bed was comfortable and the room was spacious with working AC. The staff were all incredibly friendly, but the best part was the delicious and healthy breakfast. The eggs were always cooked perfectly, and the large selection of fresh, unsweetened fruits was fantastic. We would absolutely stay here again.

First, I did not understand the lower rankings of this hotel, as everything was excellent. The staff at the hotel, from check-in to check-out, provided excellent tips for rafting and booked rafting trips for us, all of which were well-organised and effective. The staff in the hotel cafe bar were wonderful too. Our room was amazing, it was so warm outside, but we did not even need an air conditioner. Beautiful view. The breakfast was very generous, and a wide variety of local products were available. Very environmentally friendly, with a reduced carbon footprint. The hotel was genuinely doing it; it is the way of life. Well done.

I liked that the apartment was new, very clean, comfortable and well equipped. We stayed only one night, but the apartment is suitable if you want to stay a few days, because you have everything that you need (washing machine, dryer machine etc). There are also 2 restaurants within ca. 15 min walk. The owner was also very friendly and helpful. We had cold water in the fridge and some fruits in the kitchen.

The location is right besides the mountains and super close to many walking trails. There are big supermarkets and restaurants just in 5 minutes walking distance. The place is quite new and included all amenities we needed and some cooking essentials such as oil, salt etc. The owner was quite accommodating with clear communication. Will certainly go back!

Bovec is rich little town with beautiful river Socha, Trenta Valley, Triglav's National Park with many mountains like Kanin, Mangart, Rombon, Svinjak etc. Bovec is near the Italian border, Traviso is beautiful Italian town on the other side of border. Here is Vrshic Pass 1611m form where you can hiking many beautiful mountains. We 're in Bovec for hiking. It 's very easy for organization, because there's bus and shuttle bus HIP-HOP for Mangart's seadle 2072m - the highest road in Slovenia and the other places. We climbed the mount Mangart 2679m. The other day we're climbed the mount Svinjak 1653m-little Materhorn. We planed hiking mount Rombon, but the weather was very hot and Rombon will stay there and it will climb next year or some other time... There are many great activities for young people like river rafting, canyoning, kayaking, paragliding, hiking, climbing... There are many markets, shops, caffeterias, bakery shop work 24/7, little bazar...At evenyng, Bovec is full of happy people and nice quiet music. I highly recomanded Bovec for visiting, relaxing and recharging your batteries.

Bovec is a great town for outdoor lovers - river trips and hiking. Some superb restaurants in the area with very reasonable prices for the quality - Bistro 9:45, Restaurant Mangrt. Not too touristy in September

Bovec is a great location - lovely small town with beautiful views and great activities in the surrounding areas. We particularly liked the white water rafting and would recommend giving it a go. Definitely see myself returning to Bovec some time.

Great location for walking, rafting, kayaking etc. It's a pretty town centre with two small supermarkets, and two big ones just on the edge of town. The cable car isn't working right now - might be a while before it is back in action. But the Soca River has to be seen to be believed - just amazing. The local tourist office were really helpful too. The range of restaurants is a bit limited - burgers seem to be the common theme - but the quality is great, if not the variety!! Great bar, Thirsty River, in the middle of town. Lovely place to sit and watch the world go by. Felix Bar a great place with good food too.

Fantastic part of the Slovenia - is the river Soča Valley.

Fantastic part of the Slovenia - is the river Soča Valley. Bovec village is the perfect base point for your activities like rafting/cycling/hiking/ or taking some discovery by car day trips. Lots of things to see and enjoy around - waterfalls (Boka, Virje) and meny more - river Soča in ist full beauty - Julian Alps (Kanin, Ostri Rob, Krnica..) - Relatively quick access to enjoy the hike to Mangart - close is also Italian border where you can reach by car in approximately 1h45 min the Lignano Sabbiadoro beach in Italy - picturesque nature, where you will relax during your stay. An exceptional breakfast - a huge selection, excellent food, and a pleasant dining area. The staff were friendly. The hotel itself is not exactly brand new, but it is well maintained, clean, and lacks nothing. The windows provide good sound insulation, which is essential in Bovec given the crowds of motorcyclists and the annoying propeller aircraft that flies around from dawn until dusk.

It really felt like an overnight visit to your own Nana. The location is beautiful (hard not to be in Slovenia!) and the house is very homely. Sonja herself is an absolutely delightful lady and so full of life. She has limited English but it was more than enough to get across the necessary information for the stay.

Beautiful location with amazing views. Large family room with plenty of room and two balcony’s, very clean and comfortable. Enjoyed the traditional Slovenian breakfast and dinner, they were excellent at providing food for allergies.
