SerbiaThis is one of the most beautiful places I've stayed. Hidden in the nature and with amazing view, this house has everything you need for short or long stay. Hosts are very pleasant and helpful, especially the youngest one who showed us around the place.
The location is very good for exploring nature.

CroatiaThe place just feels like home. Kids said they would want to stay and live there, that means a lot. Everything is well thought of, the decor is very tasteful and all the equipment is there. Internet is very fast and reliable, too. Covered outdoor parking was a great feature due to heavy snowfall. Location is great for short trips to Velika Planina, Terme Snovik, Ljubljana, Arboretum and even Bled and Kranjska Gora are not so far either. Will come again for sure.

Kamnik is a lovely and peaceful place, perfect for a relaxing stay. We really enjoyed the beautiful surroundings, the calm atmosphere, and the easy access to nearby nature and attractions. It was a very pleasant experience overall, and I would happily recommend it to other visitors.

Lovely little town with three castles.
Lovely little town with three castles. Two of them in the city center and Stari Grad requires climbing up the hill ( around 30 min climb ). Train station and bus station in the city center with direct trains/busses to Ljubljana and other attractions. Few km away from tracks to climb to Velka Planina. Several nice restaurants and cafes in the city.

One of my favourite destination in Slovenia.
One of my favourite destination in Slovenia. Always something more to explore or experience.
Nature all around and food is something special. Warm recommendations for pizzeria "Pri Cesarju" and restaurant at "Guest House Repnik".

Kamnik is a nice and friendly city, but the real thing was...
Kamnik is a nice and friendly city, but the real thing was the surrounding environment for us. I'd recomment it mostly for people who are searching for the beauties of the nature.
The Volčji Potok Arboretum is a great family program and the Kamnik Valley provdes a lot of hiking options. The Velika Planina plateau and the cable car station is cca. 20 minutes by car, it is a must-see sight. In April it was still covered by snow but in the summer the herdsman village is full of life so we plan to visit it later as well.
Following the Kamniška Bistrica river in the Kamnik valley is also very nice and there are many viewpoints and hiking tracks.

The hosts are the nicest friendliest people you'll ever meet...
The hosts are the nicest friendliest people you'll ever meet! We honestly loved our stay. For our arrival, they left a bottle of wine and chocolates on the table which was so nice after a long day of difficult travel. We were gifted tomatoes from their garden and a delicious freshly baked (by the host) cake in the middle of our stay. When we wanted to drop by a local farm to get some cheese, the host was nice enough to call them to make sure they're open and to expect us.
The place itself is lovely and clean. It's clearly been renovated recently and is well taken care of. The decor is pretty and well thought out. The town itself is surrounded by gorgeous mountains and you can see some of them from the patio. The view of the garden is lovely as well. And they also have the most adorable monkeys in their home (right below the rental) that we loved watching on our way in and out.
Overall, it's a top notch place and we will absolutely be back if we return to Slovenia, which we definitely hope to do.

The main cable car up the Velika Planina is just a 10 minute...
The main cable car up the Velika Planina is just a 10 minute drive away, and the views from the top on a clear day are breathtaking, and a MUST if visiting the area... well worth ther 26 EUR round trip!
Make sure you also visit Ljubljana ... one of the most beautiful small capitals in Europe . It's just 45 mins on the train from Kamnik Graben, and a much better option than driving as car parking in the City is approx. 2.50 EUR an hour.
The pizzas at Pri Cesarju in Kamnik are simply the best, and if you want a great burger then '7 Burger' just outside Kamnik is a great option.
If you have a car go up to Stari grad nad Kamnikom for a coffee and spectacular views, just a shame that the viewing platform remains closed and inaccessible.
The Pekarna Center is a great bakery in the centre of the town, which is opposite the Veronika Cafe which serves the best coffee and cakes!
If parking in the centre of Kamnik you get the first 30 mins free.
Also remember that NO supermarkets open on a Sunday.

Very nice apt., I fully recommend. The small kitchen has everything you need, There were towels, soap in clean bathroom. In the living room there is a balcony with chairs, a clother dryer and view to the green nature. We had 2 bedrooms in the upper floor, there were great black-out blinds/curtains in the windows. Quiet village with a small shop with basic food near to the apt. The owner is very nice person, she offered us home-made cheese, milk, eggs, sausages as they have a small farm. The apt. is close to the Kamnik Alps.

A great opportunity to spend a couple of nights in this former Monastery. - such a peaceful location - I had the best night's sleep ever.
Around 15 minutes walk from the centre of Kamnik, which is a charming little.town about an hour from Ljubljana.
Helpful staff (I even got a pickup from the bus station, since I was running slightly late).
Fabulous Balkan restaurant near bus station. - the best salads ever, that I felt they were definitely worthy of a mention!

Nice little hotel at the top end of Kamnik old town, in easy walking distance from the bus station and train stations. Room was very clean. Downstairs restaurant serves excellent pizza incorporating some unusual Slovenian ingredients in some recipes. Breakfast is substantial and varied.
