One of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in, spacious room, perfect location. The black risotto in the restaurant was absolutely delicious, as was the wine. On top of that, a lavish breakfast, this is surely the best hotel in town.

Upon entering the lobby we were greeted warmly. All information we needed was ready for us. Our room was gigantic. Best value for the money in terms of size of the room. My wife and I joked we could move in and just live there as an apartment. Two bathrooms, large living area and eating area, and a master bedroom. The property is close by the old square - and most things we wished to see. Bratislava is going to be the place I stay the next time I want to visit eastern Austria. Great value, beautiful property, great people. Secure parking.

Beautiful room with illuminated wall that looked like amber. Nice pool with view if garden and trees. Sauna looked good, but I did not use. Breakfast was very good, with lots of selections. Lobby and eating area very pretty and cozy. Lovely hotel!

Capital With a Small Town Feel

Charming and compact Bratislava is the world’s only capital city bordering two countries, Austria and Hungary, and centers around the beautiful Danube River. South is the modern city and a peaceful forest, but the real Bratislava attractions are over Novy Most (New Bridge), an impressive structure with a UFO-like pylon. The castle on a rock overlooking the Old Town offers the best views of it. The rock itself has a Jewish cemetery and a literally underground club.

Across the street, St. Martin’s Cathedral was the coronation site of past Hungarian kings. The cobbled streets behind are lined with outdoor restaurants and bars. The city’s specialty is treska, a cold cod salad, washed down with white wine from the nearby Small Carpathian mountains.

The main square is Hlavne namestie, home to pastel-colored buildings, a 14th-century town hall housing the city museum, and the Bratislava Christmas markets. Hodzovo namestie square features the Peace Earth sculpture and Baroque Grassalkovich Palace, the presidential residence guarded by the Slovak National Guard. Across the park is the Archiepiscopal Palace, seat of the government. All around are many Bratislava hotels, B&Bs and apartments available on Booking.com.

Before heading to Bratislava Airport, visit Kamzìk TV tower, whose revolving restaurant and observation deck offer magnificent city views.

Cute old town, very walkable.

Cute old town, very walkable. I would give the area 2 days MAX. We felt we saw all that we needed to see in about 30 hours. Slovak Pub was great for lunch (local cuisine). Also had an amazing meal at Modra' Hviezda/Blue Star....located just below the castle and had cave-like little eating areas. Service was excellent and the Venison was delicioius (in a Cognac and Honey sauce). We had a little time to fill while waiting to leave for our flight and found a cute little LIVE butterfly exhibit.

Bratislava is perfect for a short break.

Bratislava is perfect for a short break. It is so walkable, if you stay fairly centrally you won’t need to use public transport. Recommend town hall and museum. Castle amazing and its museum is great. Ate in Roland one night and one of the Matto Gatto the second. Breakfast so good we did not need lunch but lots of cafés, bats and ice cream on offer. Real vibe in the evenings.

It was our first time to go to Bratislava.

It was our first time to go to Bratislava. The city is not crowded. The people are polite and helpful. We joined the tours outside the city which are a bit far but their castles, lakes and cave are breathtaking, They are worth visiting. Their lush forests are soothing to the eyes and soul. We treasure this experience in Bratislava!

city is exceptional, I just flipped a coin and decided to go when I was in Vienna and thought it might be a run down 3rd world hole but it turned out to be nice and clean and had amazing traditional food and friendly people. i could have definitely stayed a couple more days

A hidden gem, with plenty of easily accessible local...

A hidden gem, with plenty of easily accessible local attractions and only an hour from Vienna by train. Budapest is 2.5 hours away, and can be done in a day. Bratislava is a lot cheaper than these two big city neighbours.

A likeable city with friendly vibe.

A likeable city with friendly vibe. It offers program enough for a long weekend. Good traditional food and service everywhere, some really nice picturesque places (view from the Old Bridge and Bratislava Castle). It may not be the most romantic city you have ever seen but definitely worth for a short visit.

Only stayed for one night in Bratislava but this hotel was a good choice as it was spacious and clean and very near to the city centre and the Christmas markets. The main points of interest are all within casual strolling distance. The room itself was large and well appointed. Wifi was good and the staff were helpful. Breakfast was the best we had on our four stop itinerary with a good choice of fresh local products. I can't see us ever returning to Bratislava but, if we did, I would be happy to stay here again.

It is a hotel type of hostel, rooms were clean and cosy. Self check-in was really convenient and good instructions were sent beforehand. We did not see any personnel in the hostel during our stay but this was just fine for us. No social hostel environment so maybe would not recommend it to solo travelers but for our needs it was just perfect. Good location near old town but you have to climb up quite a long hill to get there. Quite affordable price for Bratislava.

We loved Bratislava and found this hotel was ideally situated for exploring the centre. The old town with its sites and restaurants begins at the door, as does the way to the castle. We took a walking tour that also began at the square in front of the hotel. Perfect. The hotel breakfast was also excellent and the staff helpful and friendly. Hotel parking was very convenient to have.
