Shopping mall was typical of many A few clothing shops stand out among the rest it really what you make of it.... but for the life of me...i could not find leather necklace string anywhere in pattaya still a great place to shop...there were vendors selling necklace and would need to cut to make use of string

There's nothing not to love about Thailand.

There's nothing not to love about Thailand. You know up front that it's not a rich country. People there work hard and you have to respect that and you have to appreciate that and just enjoy what people there have to offer, whether it's in a restaurant, in the small taxis, or with people looking to make some money while you enjoy everything and be respectful. Most importantly, respect.

Been there, done that. I guess that i am not the demographic that appreciates Pattaya. I don't smoke anything, I drink very little, I am not looking for wild sex with strangers. Not boring, just a seasoned survivor. I found DaNang, Vietnam, and Bangkok way more interesting.

Central Pattaya is not my scene, don't like the way the girls call at the guys walking the street and get groped by the old men that frequent the bars. Loud, noisy, and not clean streets. Crazy traffic with narrow streets filled with pedestrian traffic, shooters, cars (bolt mostly), SUV's, and local commercial trucks. All in that area is bars, massage parlors, pharmacies. Improvements are to tear down regular establishments and put in another bar. Nicer to go to area(s) outside Central Pattaya that seems like a more normal paced, less bars, no massage parlors, more shopping opportunities, quieter, section of Pattaya. Central Pattaya has flea market and lots of food carts to get feel for flavor of that area. Easy enough to get around by foot or by baht trucks (which are going up in price to use) to most anywhere in the city as a whole. Like any tourist town, has lots of places to help tourists find activities to keep busy and enjoy the town.

Fantastic room. We had sea view huge balcony 2 bedrooms huge bathroom with a washing machine. Kitchen had everything you need fridge freezer cooker microwave. Lots of plates cups glasses. Air-conditioning in every room Hotel has shops and massage (not happy end) very cheap. Only down side is getting in and out as have big steep ramps so no good of wheelchair or pushchair. Fantastic location right next to beach, night market, many many shops and restaurants and a street full of pubs/nightlife. Recommend we would stay again.

The Pattaya Discovery beach hotel is in a great location. Situated on beach road right next to the very lively soi 6. Restaurants everywhere and the walking street about 25 minute walk or 5 minute bus (that costs about $0.45cad) the hotel itself is modern, well cleaned. The breakfast menu is fantastic and the staff...everyone feom the bellhops, securities, front desk and cleaning crew are absolutely amazing and would go above and beyond. I definitely had a better stay because of the team there.

Soi 2 Inn is great value for money. Located on Soi 2 between Beach Road and Second Road, you have easy access to the baht buses to take you where you need to go. It is a welcoming hotel, with the staff always friendly and smiling. Rooms were spacious, clean, and reasonably modern with flat scree tvs from which you can access the likes of Netflix, etc. A short walk (maybe 150 metres) to Second Road and you have Central Marina, with Terminal 21 a little further up the road.

The pools were ideal, especially the activity pool if you had young children. The infinity pool was also great for sunbathing and an occasional dip. Restaurant was adequate but I would have liked to have seen a proper egg station. A special mention to one of the waitresses, Aui, who catered for our every need. She is a little treasure and we hope to see her again on our future stays. I would like to see a golf cart shuttle from hotel to beach road and 2nd road.

Hotel manager was friendly. Small pool but a nice view. Hotel location near beach. The whole area towards Walking Street is more for Indian people, with lots of Indian restaurants and businesses. It's quite dirty and noisy, and the atmosphere isn't very pleasant. I felt like I was in India, not Thailand.
