Clean rooms. Exceptional service by the hosts. There's free parking outside, but only if you arrive and save your spot early in the morning. It's quiet and the beds are comfortable. You can take some really good rest there. There's coffee and tea in the rooms + water bottles. I recommend ordering Turkish coffee from the reception. It's really good. The hotel is near the center and close to all kinds of good shops and places to have something to eat. We will definitely re-visit it.

Our only problem was logistical getting from Edirne to Salonica. We enjoyed the town immensely the main mosque is spectacular &a number of other sights to see as well.A very peaceful,quiet & friendly town.We enjoyed it immensely.

I am a Bahà'í so the reason for my visit was a pilgrimage to visit the House of Bahá'u'lláh. He arrived in Edirne in 1863, an exile and a prisoner. Within a short period of time, the good people of learned to admire him and many developed real affection for him, for his family, and for his followers who accompanied him in the exile. This same open-hearted attitude still prevails today towards Bahà'í visitors. There are a great many cultural attractions, a rich history, and some superb art to be admired in Edirne. However, of all treasures Edirne has to offer, surely its greatest treasure is the goodness of its people.

Interesting places for a first visit: - Selimiye Cami - the best example of Ottoman architecture, and masterpiece of architect Sinan (Mimar Sinan). - Eski Cami (the Old mosque) with the Kaaba cloth inside. - Uc Serefeli Cami (with 3 balconies) and behind it the Sinan offices and Fatih Sultan museum. - Sinan offices, not on the map, open public space with models of Sinan,s works, -Fatih Sultan Museum - we didn't have time -Archaeilogy and Ethnographic museum combined - behind Selimiye mosque and the Tourist information centre, very good exhibition. - Kent museum, almost free entrance, the best place to start exploring the city, a Cafe inside. - Beyazid II Mental Heslth hospital museum - impressive institution from the middle ages, unique place. - two covered bazaars- smaller below Selimiye cami and bigger parallel the main pedestrian street. - two bridges one after the other in a straight line over Tunca river and over Meric River, 20 min walk from centre to the cafes and restaurants at the far end of Meric river - walk all way down rhe main pedestrian street and then under the train bridge (two more bridges, smaller in other part of the city) - Rustempasa Kervansaray Palace (hotel) - if you don't book, at least you can enter for a coffee, - the Round tower and piece of wall (opposite Serefeli Cami) - the only remains of the famous Edirne Fortress. - Osman Kufteci restaurant to the side of Selimiye mosque recommended . - Monument of Mimar Sinan, the architect, on the main street below Selimiye mosque, and sign EDIRNE next to it for photoes - three Malls on the main street etc. - two Bulgarian churches from 19th century - St.George and St. Constantine and Helen.

This is a very old crossroad, market city.

This is a very old crossroad, market city. There are many historic sites to visit but they are mostly mosques. If you are into shopping - this is fine place for it but be prepared for big brand knock-offs everywhere. Traffic can be ridiculous.

The location is great, close to markets and main pedestrian...

The location is great, close to markets and main pedestrian area with shops. The rooms are renovated, clean and cosy. The stuff is helpful and kind. Parking in front of the hotel was guaranteed. Although the hotel is in a busy area, and kids are playing in a yard outside and the birds are non-stop singing in all the trees around, actually the stay was nice and peaceful. We will visit again and bring our friends for sure.

The city has a lot of history, 17 battles took place here.

The city has a lot of history, 17 battles took place here. Unfortunately not much is preserved today. During my visit most of the historic sites were closed for restoration. The ethnography and health museum were interesting. The local food is very good and affordable. You can walk around everywhere, city is full of tourists.

It is a design of the great architect Mimar Sinan, very exciting. The staff was very kind, respectful and helpful. The ladies Hakiye, Serife and people at the reception are doing great work to help the guests. The breakfast is very nice compared other same class hotels. The location of the hotel is very nice and they are also providing car parking. I will stay at Tashan when I am back to Edirne.

The warm welcome, a tasteful home baked (?)cookie was offered, so original and appreciated gesture. Clean room, good breakfasts buffet, that starts clean, ends clean and is staying clean in between, all thanks to an amazing professional and hard working staff. I can highly recommend (stayed at 3 hotels in Edirne and Alan Suites became for me the number one)

small hotel near the centre of Edirne, easy to reach by car. 24 hour desk, and guarded parking. Therefore very handy when you need a place to stay while driving through, especially since it is close to the border which can take long to cross. the area was a bit shady at night, but the parking is fenced off, and we could see the car from the balcony.
