Stuff was very kind and helpful. Hotel was exceptionally clean. I was staying in two bedroom room with my mom. Room had enough space, nice overview of the street and a really nice bathroom. Hairdryer was really great. Beds were comfortabe. Breakfast was exceptionally good. The location is great, you're 3 min walk from Sultanhmet tram station and a few min from Sirkeçi metro station. Also, 8 min walk from Grand Bazaar. 10/10. I'd come back.

The Best of Asia and Europe

The city of Istanbul offers a trip unlike any other, encompassing Asian and European cultures to create a heady mix of art, music and food. The amazing Old Town and the Sultanahmet are home to iconic Blue Mosque and the Hagia Sophia. More history is hidden in the Topkapi Palace, where you can glimpse the splendor and opulence of Turkey’s Ottoman heritage.

Istanbul is an extraordinary city, with so much to see and discover. Once the capital of both the Byzantine and Ottoman Empires, it is filled with centuries of history, beautiful architecture, vibrant neighbourhoods, unforgettable views, and cats everywhere, adding even more charm and character to the city.

I liked the Blue Mosque, the historical buildings, the great Palace museum shopping centre, the Smoklin Grill rooftop restaurant, and the Lazzoni hotel located in the perfect area, with its Gym, spa and Hammam plus great breakfast choices. The taxis from the hotel was good to get around town but getting taxi's back was a challenge as the taxi drivers without meters charged ridiculous fares. Overall I had a fantastic time and would definitely travel to Istanbul again.

First of all, get ready and be healthy.

First of all, get ready and be healthy. I was limping on my right foot and couldn't do long walks (though it gave me a good excuse to take a break for a coffee/beer/lemonade every hour or so :) ), and it was a bit of a problem. So please, come healthy. Istanbul is a hilly city with some steep streets you might need to climb from time to time. I had installed BiTaksi (their taxi app), but I ended up using Uber the whole time, as the prices were pretty much the same, with a maximum difference of around 5%. Buy an Istanbulkart! It's the urban transport card you top up and use to pay for your rides. WARNING! There's a hard monthly limit of 2750 Turkish Liras. It resets every month, but keep in mind that you cannot top up more than 2750 TRY per month — it's a tourist/anonymous card, and the limit was introduced to fight money laundering, etc. The Istanbulkart itself is dirt cheap though, as it only costs 175 TRY, so... Getting around is easy. Google Maps is accurate 98-99% of the time. Switching from metro to bus to urban railway, ferry, or tram? Use GMaps and you're sorted! Istanbul is overall a safe place to stay, with lots of landmarks and spots to visit.

Istanbul is an amazing city that beautifully combines history, culture, and modern life. Walking through its streets, visiting historical landmarks, and enjoying the views of the Bosphorus make every moment unforgettable. The people are welcoming, the food is delicious, and there is always something new to discover. Whether you're interested in history, shopping, or simply enjoying the atmosphere, Istanbul is a destination I highly recommend. I would love to visit again!

Clean and well-equipped hotel. Fantastic and helpful staff throughout. The breakfast was fantastic with a great view. Very close to Taksim Square and there are so many locals in that zone. We also used the transfer service to the airport and the price was so much better than the taxis in front of the airport that we used when we arrived. I was very pleased with my stay and will stay there again if I find myself in Istanbul again.

I loved the location and it's very convenient if you want to see all the tourist attractions of Istanbul, especially Taksim Square. It's very quiet at night and the reception is open 24/7. Moreover, airport transfer is included in the price, they provide free transportation from the airport to the hotel or free hotel accommodation at the end, everything is fine, we are happy.
