An amazing little, kinda boutique hotel. Spotless rooms, all the amenities etc. The beach in front of the hotel was similar to what you can find in the Red sea, I mean the marine life. We are certified divers but for the last 10 or so years we are only snorkeling and during our multiple South-Asian we were mostly disappointed of what we have seen underwater in Thailand, Malaysia, Japan etc. But this little beach was something unique. Lots of turtles swimming within mere inches next to you. As well as a plethora of various fish, and I mean it. It was almost matching the Jordanian or Saudi snorkeling sites of the Red Sea. The quite serenity of the beach at night or watching the sunrise early in the morning made it one of the most memorable hotels for us.

A wonderful hotel! Even though it's not located on the coast, the location was lovely because it was secluded and very quiet. I was thrilled that the bathroom and shower were in two different rooms! Also my room had a great TV with HBOmax so I could watch my shows. Overall great value and would stay again. 10/10 recommend!

Simple but very clean room on third floor with access to the 4th floor rooftop. The staff were extremely helpful and accommodating. They went out of their way to help us with many details. The location was super close to the main ferry, and very central to restaurants and booking any other activities. Be advised that foreigners can only rent electric scooters.

If you love snorkeling, diving, looking at scenery, and...

If you love snorkeling, diving, looking at scenery, and walking trails - this is a great place for a mini vacation. As a first timer to the island, arranging a snorkeling tour to see the sea turtles (we went to Beauty Cove for the spot) are a must do and the whole point of going to the island. If you want to visit every place of interest and hike most major trails, then 3 days is plenty but after a while, everything starts to look and feel the same. Best way to get around the island is by scooter or e-bike. The island does get unbearably hot during the summer so plan around breaks during the mid-day. Baisha Wharf area has the most restaurants and choices to eat.

I went to Xiaoliuqiu in mid-January, so during the low season. It was very peaceful, and we really enjoyed it. We rented electric bikes, which made getting around the island very easy. There are also plenty of scooter rentals available. We were able to explore the island's various spots and even see some turtles. Just be aware that restaurants close quite early during the low season.

Xiaoliuqiu is a small island 20 minutes by ferry from Taiwan. There is a small town by the ferry terminal. The normal method of transport around the island is by scooter (need a license) or electric bike (no license required). It takes about 30 minutes to drive around the island. There are plenty of rental operations around town. The highlight of the island is the sea turtles, which are everywhere, very close to shore. You really need to go snorkeling to see these gentle giants (but don't touch them or you'll get fined). It is easy and inexpensive to rent snorkel equipment and dry suits (dry suits are only necessary in the winter). Even when the waves are big, there are a few sheltered bays where you can see the turtles up close. We went in the winter when there were not many tourists, but keep in mind that in this season the dining options are somewhat limited. Besides the turtles, there wasn't much to see, at least in the winter, but we found it a good place to hang out for a few days.

Everything is good.

Everything is good. Ferry ⛴️ fair price to hotel 🏨 gorgeous to beach 🏖️ . Vibes is good sunset 🌅 is so relaxing to watch and sunrise 🌄 in our hotel is gorgeous. Ilove xiaoliuqiu . We always go to xiaoliuqiu and the vibes and relaxation always meet our expectations and satisfaction.

Not knowing that ATMs only accept local cards and almost all transactions, with the exception of convenience stores, are cash only, makes it very difficult to enjoy the island to the full. Nevertheless a nice experience!

Is best you know how to ride the electric bike or bicycle in this island. Facing the problem of pushing the bike due to low battery. The rental cost of 1-day electric bicycle is NTD400, and they took the photo of your passport which I think is not necessary, they can take down the passport information instead. Some of roads that I went based on the Google map was complete darkness and I am travelling alone.
