The hot water was out, so the owner git me a room in another hotel, drove me there and set it up, then drove me to the Wulai train free of charge. He was so nice and patient with my bad Chinese!

Had booked on booking.com the advatising was extremely misleading turned up and was told our booking was for 2 hours had traveled from Tapai and had nowhere else to stay so was made to pay almost double what was agreed to on booking.com very run down rooms not sure if the carpet has ever been cleaned paint peeling everywhere mould everywhere would not have stayed if we had enywere else to go for the price I was made to pay I would of thought it would be 5 star not -5 star honestly watch out for this one you've been warned. Been in traveling Asia for years and never been scammed this bad.

The location! So perfect. Right on the river. At the start of Old Street. I love the hot spring pools in the hotel. The staff was so nice. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The place is quiet at night. Fridge in the room. Gorgeous scenery and hiking nearby.
