The house had alot of charm and character- i love the old woodwork- the view was amazing - we kept ourselves busy but the time we spent at the house made us feel like home and to be able to watch the sunset on the river from the couch or get up and have a cup of coffee and look out to the Mississippi was just what we were looking for - couldn't have asked for a better place to stay

Another great stay at the Burlington. We will continue to make this an annual trip and Im happy to have added family this year who are just as sold as I am. Jennifer is a wonderful host and the accommodations are prefect a comfortable group experience. She knows the area and makes great local recommendations for the stay and always entertains and ensures a good time at the on-site bar. We'll be back annually!

Wonderful little old railroad town on the river, which also...

Wonderful little old railroad town on the river, which also has some surprising activities such as the Alma Area Museum in an old school and the Castlerock Museum which I didn't expect and has arms, armor, and historical artifacts. Loved both.

Walking to shops and eateries was within a reasonable...

Walking to shops and eateries was within a reasonable distance and very nice. The Burlington had it's own bar open in the evening and was the perfect enjoyable spot relaxing with a beverage and the owner was the server sharing many historical stories about the area.
