My Husband grew up here , people are friendly, cute little...
My Husband grew up here , people are friendly, cute little town. Beautiful canyons you can explore. Wildlife , we saw pronghorn , wild turkeys, tons of birds. And can't forget the roaming cattle.

Pros: nice and helpful staff, clean room, good parking, clientele was respectful of others
Cons: I didn't like the bed type, which was a mushy foam; I prefer flat and firm mattresses. A minor issue was the distance of the nearest electrical outlet to the desk; I needed an extension cord for my laptop.
The motel was nice enough for me to decide to stay an extra night.

I lived there twice, and I enjoyed the trip down memory lane. I'm very sad that the downtown area isn't taken care of, but that's up to those who live there. If you go, eat at the Owl! Best food ever!

Nothing fancy, but I was surprised to find a clean room that was quiet on a Saturday night. Appeared hotel was in the process of making improvements which I agree are needed but for a night stay it served our purpose perfectly. Internet was not working and was told that they have been trying to get tech out for several days but labor is just not available anywhere so can't blame them on that account.

Only 45 minutes from Winnemucca.
The town itself was a good surprise. We tried 2 restaurants that were less than 5 minutes from our hotel and both were great!!
Overtime Bar and Grill had great brisket and pulled pork! Portions were great for the price and the pool tables were nice to play on!
The Hideaway had amazing tri-tip, the marinade or seasoning on it was the best!!

Battle Mountain is a very tiny spread out town.
Battle Mountain is a very tiny spread out town. Very little to offer. Family Dollar was a joke, empty shelves etc. We ate at a casino/restarurant next to the railway, the food and service was good and we enjoyed the staff. It is not a town I would stop in but we were travelling with family who had family in the town. People in the town are friendly and helpful, just not a lot to do unless you like to sit in the casino which was full of friendly people.

Pleasantly surprised with the quality of the bed and linens to start. Next, walking into the continental breakfast...it was better than most brand hotels. Waffles with a topping buffet, breads, cereals, fruit and breakfast treats. The owners have done a wonderful job with this establishment. A must if looking for a place to stay in Battle Mtn!

The hotel has a swimming pool with warm water during this time. I am not sure if it is only sun heated or has another form of heating.

Nothing pool was broken, bathroom door was broken it was more money then another hotel in Battle Mt. I will never stay there again.
